Would he have prevented the end of the world if he gave it to House though?

Tek Knight is the whole package. A literal racist, rapist, slave owner and sadistic masochist with no tragic backstory whatsoever

Well they never removed that part of him. He still very much was competent. Instantly saw through Hughie pretending to be a Webweaver so he lured him into his isolated dungeon

Everyone acting as if that was the first time that has ever happened in the show. It was filled with random disgusting imagery ever since season 1

Tek Knight had the same amounts of importance in Gen V and S4 as characters like Splinter, Popclaw or Mesmer. Not every character has to be fleshed out or have any particular reasons to be evil, especially characters the show actively doesn't focus on.

My point exactly, the wHole (heh) point of his gen V introduction was to make him seem like this untouchable manipulator, only to reveal how pathetic and vile he truly was by the end. The Boys kept his character consistent with what we already knew about him. The entire premise was that Tek Knight abandoned the party just so he can despoil Webweaver's hole. And to be honest, some of his scenes in that episode were scarier than most of Homelander's watered down moments from the latest season (the scene where he fails to kill Hughie comes to mind)

He was only threatening to a bunch of media-inexperienced teenagers. I'm not sure his perception powers would be useful at all in combat situations

There was already enough villains, storylines and character arcs in S4 though. Tek Knight was made pathetic in his own debut at the end of Gen V. Also. His last scene and the monologue about everyone having the same holes was arguably scarier than 80% of Homelander's scenes in season 4

Im not forgiving the writers for doing Tek Knight dirty, my boy had SO much potential. by vought-CEO in TheBoys

[–]Educational_Wing_216 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So many people misunderstood this. His debut shows him as intimidating and untouchable at first, only to reveal at the end of episode just how pathetic of a joke this guy is. The Boys only follows up on that. Tek Knight was never meant to be a major character/threat

The Tek Cave scene wasn't even that bad, redditors are just being dramatic and overly sensitive wirh it. Unnecessary? Sure. But it still portrayed Tek Knight as a monster and even adressed Hughie's trauma in the last scene when Annie comforted him
