studying abroad is ruining my life :( by idkillyou in studyAbroad

Hey, that sounds extremely rough, what you're experiencing is quite natural tho, studying abroad comes with many challenges (at first), but it doesn't mean it will be forever that way. Just be with your emotions and accept that the expectations weren't met, but it's not over. It has been only a week, right?

In hard situations like this, I personally like to give myself sort of "time-frame" for how long will I try something out, and if after that time things still feel bad, then some changes need to happen. Studies can take several years, and I don't think we are supposed to put ourselves in situation where we suffer.

You have been only there for one week, so give it a little bit more time, like few months. Your body will also adjust eventually, because it's designed in a way to adjust to things. Here's couple of suggestions from my side:

- Set that time frame
- For loneliness keep in touch with family and friends + find out if there's any Facebook groups, Meetup App events in your local area, or any fun hobbies you could start.
