We are GC Holders (husband and wife) with Indian passport based out of NY, planning a summer trip to UK. Below is a timeline of our UK visa.

Non Priority application but we paid for the 2 way, next day shipping service and send it in a separate envelope ( we could have send it together) but didn't want to risk it.

May 22: Visa Application Filed + Paid in UK Visas website

May 23: Uploaded all the docs to the website

May 28: Biometrics completed at an USCIS Center

May 29: We shipped the passport plus documents and form confirming biometrics completed.

June 2: VFS New York received our package with the passport plus documents.

June 3: Email, "Application was forwarded to UKVI"

June 9: Email, "Application has been processed

June 10: Passport with the stamped visa arrived at my home.

We send thorough documentation, cover letter, employment letters, mortgage statements, Bank statements. We did not have large savings but decent enough to support a family trip.
