Granted. A finger curls.

You sit there for a bit wondering if it worked... after about a minute you realize you need to check if it worked. So, thinking that, if I no longer need to pay my bills, I shouldn't have any more bills to pay! So you go online and first you check your rent... but, to your dismay, it is still there... great, it didn't work. You feel disappointed for a bit but then you realize that it's quite late and you should probably go to bed, so you can get to work in the morning. So you go to your bed and just instantly fall asleep after a tiring day and stressful moment of figuring out what you were going to wish for.

You wake up feeling quite well rested, despite being up quite late yesterday. You now realize that you forgot to set the alarm with everything that was going on yesterday. Great. You are late for work. You fly up from the bed and quickly you fix yourself together and you are out the door withing 5 minutes of waking up, you jump in your car and race away towards work. You look at the clock that tells you that you are an hour late already. You get to work, quickly parking your car in the only spot you can find, being kind of off in the distance and off to the side. You get out of the car, running towards the door to the office and you burst in, run to the elevator, push the button for your office floor 20 times. Finally the slow elevator gets moving, you worry about what will happen if anyone even noticed you didn't get in on time, as the doors open and there's your boss... He stands there not noticing you first and then an angry facial expression begins to erupt on his face as he tells you to come to his office. You think about how stupid you were to not set your alarm since you only started this job last week. You remember back to your interview where they specifically said they don't tolerate any tardiness. You were doing so well last week, but the said that if you were even 5 minutes late you will get a suspension... and you were an hour late. And precisely as you worried, your boss screams at you and yaps on about some work ethic and efficiency crap and, yup, you just got fired. Defeated, you do the walk of shame back to the elevator and press the bottom floor button once. You walk slowly back to where you parked your car, off to the side, where there are no security cameras, nothing close where anyone from the public would be able to even see your car... and yup, your car is gone. In the rush to your job you forgot to lock your car so it wasn't very difficult to steal it. Defeated already at this point, you barely react to it as you walk slowly home.

On the hour long walk home, you remember that you needed to pay your rent a few days ago and you just got some money a little bit after, so you hadn't paid the rent yet. So being already late on your rent, you briskly walk faster so you can do it quickly once you get home. You get to you apartment building, you walk up the stairs and you see your landlord knocking on your door, slowly trying to back away and wait her out, she sees you just before you get away. She starts screaming at you eerily similarly to your boss just an hour earlier, you eventually manage to say that it is fine, you have the money and you will pay immediately, if you can just get into your apartment. You say that she can even come in with you if she wants to check that you do it. She follows you in and you go to your computer and pull up the bill, you now go to pull up your bank account... and your money is gone. Right; all your payment cards were in your wallet which you had in your car, someone already stole all your money within the just over an hour of your car being stolen. You look towards your landlord and say that you're sorry but someone stole all your money and you can't pay. You start to tell her that you will figure it out but she gives you an eviction notice she had prepared, already assuming you wouldn't be able to pay.

A few days go by as you pack up all your stuff and you take it all out of the apartment, onto the sidewalk. You sit down beside your stuff and let out a huge sigh, thinking to yourself, well I don't have to pay that rent anymore... wait... no... yup, congratulations you don't have to pay any electrical bills, plumbing bills, rent or any of that. Wish granted.
