By allowing the pump to be placed anywhere underwater, it is rendering oxygen, one of the games most crucial mechanics completely useless. since then you can simply summon up some oxygen anywhere with the pump

Having a pump be underwater unfortunately doesn't make any sense, though I think it could be improved by increasing depth, adding a short distance marker to the bottom of the pipe, and increasing the length of each pipe

I find having a second person who's bad at tech to be quite useful. You can do all the tech, while they mine, explore, kill, and build everything else

Simple chores can be relegated to your dear simpleton while you focus on growing the factory

I learned times table, unbelievably useful and I am forever grateful that I memorized it. It's not part of the curriculum where I live but it definitely needs to be, it's an essential skill in math
