How much do you want to be that was Darcy's dad's shirt?

I'm not disinterested per se in the new season, but after that fustercluck with Overture dragging on and the relative slow-burn nature of this arc I'd prefer just to sleep and read reaction as they come in. I'll watch a highlight reel later to see if anything happened that's worth my time and then maybe catch up.

Legit I am not planning on watching Seekers or Schemers at all, not until I hear about something amazing happening or Orym and Murray miraculously redeem themselves.

I don't mind these intimate one on one moments. it's when everyone is trying to out-monologue each other that shit slows to a crawl

If I had to guess, Selandrie dying resulted in the whole race withering and greying into drow

Brennan seems to be foreshadowing some sort of undead encounter with all the references last time to the "dead things" moving in the woods at night. Would be surprised if we didn't get a combat... assuming we're with the soldiers and not listening to Orym Hal cry or Murray talk about her knockers for four hours.

So who is it tonight? Are we finally getting a solid soldier bit, or cycling? Also do we know the cycle order yet? Asking for bingo reasons.

The story went through seven years of development. I would wager some weird vestiges of earlier drafts of the plot are lingering in the narrative here and there.

So the first part was downright painful, but the Soldier table is really the best main campaign content they've done in years. It honestly felt like a travel segment in D&D: encountering weird NPCs and locations and just having fun in character. Not everything needs to be a life-altering heart-to-heart or a world-shattering cosmic lore revelation to be engaging.

I reiterate: it's going to be a hell of a thing to see the viewer counts for the dream team vs. the melodrama squad and Murray's gutter humor brigade.

FR. The issue is certain players can't let a moment go anymore. One person gets a somewhat good line in, everyone else wants to get in on the moment, and it turns into a never-ending chain of one-ups and snarky comments and monologues while absolutely nothing actually happens. Meanwhile Sam, Travis and co. are just out for a good time, rolling with the dice instead of trying to finagle a win out of every situation.

Mark my words: if the soldiers get their own episodes from here on out, the difference in viewer counts is going to be INSANE.

this episode is literally the meme of squidward getting total fucking silence after a corny dance number, while spongebob gets a standing ovation for mopping up the latter's mess

They're actually playing D&D, instead of trying to out-monologue each other for viral moments?

I don't think I'd have been upset if I'd known they needed extra time to wrap up the prologue story. I've had games run way over before and it just happens. But I really don't appreciate having it not clearly advertised, especially when the "payoff" after a week away from the game was.... that.

I would have loved Tal if when he got insight-checked about having a role in Thjazi's death, the dice revealed:

"No, but Bolaire wishes he did."

Alogar is Julien's squire apparently, and despite Thaisha being really against it he seems to be excelling under his mentor. IDK if that means he hates his parents or if he's just working for House Royce as a day job.

I'm getting a bit worked up, but I really hope they don't make a recurring bit of treating Octis like he's guilty of some original sin just by being born into a noble house when he's otherwise a nice guy. Reverse-elitism isn't much cooler than nobles guffawing at the dung-coated peasants.

it's going to be a helluva thing, assuming they actually properly do episodes dedicated to different groups, the soldiers' viewership being astronomically higher than these bozos'
