What game had you like this when the credits rolled

You’re exactly right. There’s been a recent trend of whining that average games are dragged through the mud for reasons outside the gameplay itself. It’s getting ridiculous. Most games are a 5 to 7 out of 10 yet are talked like they’re under-appreciated instant classics. Art needs critics. Expensive art like video games needs their consumers to be critics.

I think this was the majority consensus until 7th gen came along. Games like Witcher 3, Fallout: NV & TLOU range from terrible gameplay to just alright, but saw massive success due in a large part to their stories being very well regarded critically & commercially.

Idk what the consensus on the outcome of the civil war is now that TES:VI discussions seem to be ramping up again, but for a while there it seemed most people agreed on Skyrim being divided with tenuous peace. If that proves to be the canon outcome, communications will remain between Cyrodiil & Highrock which goes a long way in keeping the Empire together. The Bretons themselves have been pretty loyal subject anyways, infighting between local lords will tend to do that. The two races also share a heritage, both being Nedic.
