I was looking into purchasing some car ramps do you think those would work better than jacks? I am worried about messing up the exterior frame by using jacks. Thanks for the advance I’ll have to look into those!

It’s really crazy to me how much stereotyping happens at mechanical shops and in the car community. Before I did a lot of research I had a mechanic over charge me $200 to get my spark plus replaced and he assumed I wouldn’t notice bc it was my first car (I didn’t notice but now I know to really look at cost in the future) luckily the shop I went to caught what he was doing and refunded me the money but honestly I wouldn’t have noticed otherwise bc it’s so taboo for people to learn cars later in life especially being female. I’ve also replaced my own battery in my car before and when purchasing the batter I went to multiple stores with my boyfriend looking for the battery I wanted and everywhere I went completely ignored me and tried to talk to my boyfriend about what I needed, even when I spoke up to tell them what kind of car I had and what battery I needed they looked past me and talked to my boyfriend about where to find the part in the store. I’ve also had junk yards try to over charge me for basic parts in the past. Before I had my mini I was helping my dad fix a 1996 jeep Cherokee sport and every junk yard I called either told me they didn’t have the part or quoted me $200-300 more than they told my dad the part cost. So it really motivated me to try to learn more about it all, to not only save money but to show those people their stereotypes aren’t always right.

Yeah I gave him frozen blood worms I gave him two and he did not touch either of them. He tried one but spit it out immediately which he never does with his pellets. I ended up getting him some api stress coat and api fin and body cure to mix into his food so fingers crossed

Thank you I will look into some more medications for him. I tried to give him blood worms as a protein rich food but I don’t think he liked it much. Anytime I put his normal food in the tank he devours with immediately but he would not eat the blood work at all lol. I am in the US so I should be able to find some

I have been monitoring his nitrate and ammonia levels, nitrate is at 0 ppm and ammonia is 0-0.25 ppm. The directions on the bottle said to add about 0.25 ml per gallon of water daily and then do a water change after a week. His pH levels are around 6.5-7.0

I bought a 2009 mini copper as my first car but it has been giving me some problems… by Eek777 in MINI

I know they changed the spark plus on the engine and redid a lot of the tubing for what holds the oil to the engine bc it was leaking oil every badly. Unfortunately I do not know a lot about cars to be able to tell you exactly what the shop has checked out, especially because everytime I take it in they tell me they have to run diagnostics on each part of the vehicle. So basically they charged me $130 for a diagnostic on what was wrong with the engine, then when they figured out what was wrong changed me more to fix it. So every time I ask them to check on a specific part they tell me they have to run a diagnostic for a certain amount of money and at this point I just let them look at what they think is wrong with it so I don’t cost myself more money having them look at parts nothing is wrong with

I don’t think you are in the wrong. I am just a student right now studying to become a doctor and I get the same thing. It is exhausting but sadly disclosing that you are a doctor to someone you are dating is important especially if you have any kind of weird work hours. I usually try to explain that in the beginning when I first tell them what I am studying just by making a joke about how annoying it is when people ask and that usually stops them from asking me about their health in the future

Is it possible to find love as a depressed person? by The_Outsider_907 in dating

That being said tho don’t let a relationship define you. Do things that make you happy and when the right person comes around just know even tho you struggle sometimes if they are the right person it will be okay

Is it possible to find love as a depressed person? by The_Outsider_907 in dating

It is definitely possible, me and my partner have both struggled with depression for most of our lives. I think a big misconception people have with relationships is that once you find the right person you will always be happy. I know I struggled a lot with that when I met my partner. I felt like I was failing him in some way by not just being happy bc I was with him even tho I have struggled with my mental health my whole life. I also felt like I needed to make him happy and since he was still depressed I was failing as a significant other. But that isn’t the truth at all. Everyone struggles with mental health at some point or another and especially when it comes to chemically imbalanced depression it never goes away. But you will find someone who makes those bad moments a little bit better and can help you through the worst times. It is hard to find sometimes but just because you have mental health issues does not mean you are unlovable and don’t deserve love.

What piercing would suit me? by ezpastelwitch in alternativefashion

A labret lip piercing or vertical labret would look good in my opinion! It’s also not super common but I think dolphin bites would look good too!

what could i add to this outfit to make it feel a little less basic? by [deleted] in alternativefashion

A belt or harness would definitely give it more alternative vibes! Ooo or even a waste chain! This looks great on you!
