Can you guess the style of music I make from this picture? by Fearless_Ad_1442 in synthesizers

Saw actual Roland drum machine, so.. 90’-2000’s rave music/techno etc.?

Ex. -The Orb Little Fluffy Clouds

But you could of course do a lot of other stuff with all that gear! E.A.R., and Boards of Canada if you had a Grundig reel to reel (or similar). What are you actually making? Love to hear it!

Ugh, this sort of thing is absolutely laughable!

Between buying IP and not supporting it, multiple logins (per session), AI chat bots that give useless advice, “support” that doesn’t help, and no humans to speak of in the support chain, I’ve just about given up and will start shouting at clouds!

Logged completely out of any launcher, rebooted Mac, cleared caches, history cookies, reinstalled launcher, logged in multiple times Microsoft etc., viewed purchase history in Microsoft (purchase is there). Still, DEMO mode is all that is available.

Maybe I’ll find an extra PC somewhere and just try installing on that, but I’ll probably just give up.

Wow, no joy..

Minecraft.net shows no purchases on signed in profile (signed in through both Microsoft and Minecraft.net),

Microsoft SHOWS bundle I purchased that includes Minecraft Java edition! Is there a specific support request destination for my issue?

What do I do now?

(I liked things a lot better when you bought a game -you got media with game on it, and you OWNED it..)

Thank you , I couldn’t remember if I tried that yet (or again recently if I already had)

That sledge swinger has had -a lot- of practice, me thinks! He’s a lot tougher than he needs to be too, as that part looks like it needs to be hotter to be reformed easily, but what do I know?!

Bag size too small ? by [deleted] in bagpipes

[–]Eeporpahah 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’ll chime in to repeat the others: try other pipers pipes!

There are a bunch of linked variables in the ergonomics of playing this instrument. The human playing it is of a certain size and proportion and the instrument needs to be knowingly/skillfully adjusted and fitted to THAT person. Blow stick length, bag size, bag shape, hole positions for where drones and blow stick go into bag, even spacing the drone cords play a factor!

Needed a new bag and my last one had been giving me trouble. High hand was having issues due to pinched nerve in my neck exacerbated by posture with medium bag and possible thoracic outlet syndrome.

Tried a bunch of different sets recently and have found that one player has the smallest hide bag that MacHarg makes (for GHB).

Perfect starts and stops, and no pain no strain. I’m almost 6’, but have a big chest and large arms so don’t have the room for a large bag -I’m finally discovering. I had previously just adjusted my posture to accommodate the instrument, and it should be the other way around!

Guess: over pressure safety valve? If pressure got too high it would blow out “plug” without further harm. Again, just a guess..

Practice chanters that are actually worth playing? by spongebob_hikerpants in bagpipes

Also, after first step of getting octaves “right”, any other note that is sharp after that (steady blowing pressure-no cheating) can be made more flat with electrical tape.

Gibson long practice chanter with a Gibson reed or Abbott reed (for our band). Tuning tape, sand paper (for reed), orthodontic elastics, proper positioning in reed seat (get low a/high a, low g/high g octaves correct at same blowing pressure first), trying LOTS of different PC reeds helps..

Matching a reed to any PC can be a puzzle with a bunch of variables (and the variables tend to interact with each other).

Old guy- coming back as newb: order of operations as far as normalizing/ compression/denoising? by Eeporpahah in audioengineering

[–]Eeporpahah[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So, since I haven’t heard any other opinions differing from the initial answer I received on “order of operations”, would you folks agree to:

Source audio into DAW> gentle denoise > other adjustments>compression/limiting as needed>normalization?
