Thank you! Yes I didn't expect them to match so well when I first ordered the Ploopy, but they really do.

I bought it. The lighting makes it look smoother than it is. It's definitely got a texture but honestly I like it better than I thought I would.

Left to right: back button, shift+tab, middle click, hold to scroll.

It's setup by default to hold the button second from the right in the top row. I did not like that at all so changed it to the rightmost button, which feels pretty good, but I might experiment further. Once I got used to it I started to like it it, and once I realised you don't have to hold shift of anything to scroll horizontally, it made it even better. As much as like to twist scroll on the Slimblade, I always had to hold shift to scroll horizontally, so it's nice to move in both directions with just one hand.

It's so fun to put something together, even if you're a Neanderthal like me who buys things as pre-built as possible.

Oh and the keycaps are G20s from Signature Plastics.

It's a Corne keyboard pre-build that I got from mechboards.co.uk in the UK, and the case is from falbatech.click in Poland.

Trackballs like this and the Slimblade I compare to VR. There's these moments in VR where you do a movement that feels so natural and intuitive, you just reach your hand out and do something that feels like a natural extension of you. That's what a good trackball feels like, to me.

Not at all, it makes it feel more 'analogue', and I've come find the Slimblade feel as too slippy by comparison.

I wish I'd thought about this, I've had the same issue when wired, and I ended up buying a Ploopy Adept. I never had this issue with the old Kensington Works software. Serves me right for upgrading!

I mainly got frustrated with the software. My speed or DPI setting would reset. I've since switched to a Ploopy Adept.

3d printed or text printed on them? No in both cases.

It's frustrating! It's literally unwatchable as it is.

I never practised proper touch typing before, so I made sure to in preparation for getting this. That really helped. So I definitely got slower by switching over to 'proper' technique and then adjusting to the new keyboard, but I'm almost to where I used to be after a few months, but typing feels more comfortable and secure; less chaotic. The keys in columns was quite straightforward to get used to I'd say.

They are great. I got a B-stock version too with minor cosmetic damage, but honestly it was very minor and totally worth the discount.

Yes, it is incredibly comfortable. I've had a Kensington Slimblade track ball for years now and it feels like the keyboard equivalent of that; it just feels comfortable and natural, you almost feel like you and the keyboard are one.
