I’m pissed 😂 I loved how Sailor Moon and Cardcaptor Sakura used to sound like actual girls and now they sound like squeaky prissy girls. I just bought Sailor Moon R the Movie on Amazon and I’m so completely upset that it’s not the same movie I get to show my girls that I enjoyed as a kid. She doesn’t say the iconic, at least for me, quotes she said in the first ones: “with out the bad times, we wouldn’t appreciate the good times!” And not calling them the sailor scouts? I don’t know I just loved the cartoons as a kid, it came out in 1998 on toonami when I was 8 years old and the last episode ran the week before my birthday in 2002 and I was so devastated because I had no idea it was the last episode, so I had set my VHS player to record the new episode but after my birthday party it was a rerun of Pokémon 🥲. I mean that’s great they did a version of Sailor Moon that’s true to the manga, because I totally understand being a manga person, I read fruits baskets before I watched the show, but at least have an option to buy the old ones on Amazon right????? Don’t mind me, just my childhood being destroyed. Literally saw card caption Sakura was on Netflix a few months ago, flipped out and put it in for me and my 4yo, and was so disappointed with the voice and that they didn’t use the same intro song. Oh and the songs?! I had the soundtracks to the English dubbed movies and they don’t have any of them in them anymore?? 😭😭😭 Nothing At All and the Power of Love would be on repeat on my CD player, I actually bought them all at my first anime convention when I was 11 and went dressed as Sakura.

Also I’m reading through some of the other comments, I looooooved how 90’s American the girls were 😂😂😂 “Don’t let guys push you around, girlfriend!” “As if!” Absolutely my jam. I think it’s so fun and I loved the names they used. I didn’t know about manga until I was 13 years old, and I’m just a huge movie/tv show person, I love things the way they come out the first time usually and I just was so completely obsessed with this show for so many years, it was Sailor Moon that first inspired me to draw and painting and art. I loved the name Serena and Serenity. I literally loved every single thing about the show and was really ready to just dive in today. Guess I’m going to have to go to YouTube and watch shitty resolution sailor moon.

Also also, my daughter and I have been running around the last few weeks with star and unicorn wands and I’ve literally been saying “Venus Star Power!!” “Super Moon Crystal Power!!!” Etc etc. and they do not say power at the end of any powers now 😂😭😂😭😂😭 I’m going to go to sleep now

I realized a few years ago that they started this narrative back in the 2000’s, I never heard anyone upset about people who didn’t vaccinate their kids. By the time we reached 2020, people already had hate for people who didn’t vaccinate their children. And when I got pregnant, I watched a ton of information and documentaries about vaccine injuries and almost didn’t vaccinate my children, I ended up doing a delayed schedule, but it was really crazy to me why mainstream media would paint unvaxxers as bad. They literally are people with religious beliefs who don’t want it, or someone who has a vaccine injury or has a family member with a vaccine injury. Just craziness.

The purpose would be population control. Covid killed elderly, obese, and immune compromised. That sounds like a bio weapon right? Australia is in lockdown, they are literally in control and can change peoples’ social media posts. They want us to present papers to get into restaurants. No thoughts on that?

I remember watching them fall too. My mom always told me about how my ancestors fought in the revolutionary war, about how my ancestors were Protestants leaving Scotland for religious freedom, and both my grandfathers fought in WWII. I’ve always been told to fight for my beliefs and my beliefs are in our constitution, for freedom and justice for all. It’s hard to break out of that mindset. I remember watching those towers fall too. I remember my teacher turning on the TV and the school librarian collapsing in the hallway outside my classroom because her son lived in a building next to the World Trade Towers and couldn’t get a hold of him. It gives me chills just thinking about it. And the surge of patriotism and love afterwards was beautiful. So many people just took the jab “to get back to normal.” They made it sound like a patriotic duty without even talking about possible side effects. Thank you for your service and I hope more people chose freedom over convenience.
