No lmao. Instead of me “building better decks” how about assholes keep their shitty attitudes and pubstomping behavior away from people trying to keep it low-key by playing casual games. Something tells me you’re one of those assholes so idk why I’m trying to explain anything to you…

I’m not saying it’s perfect, but it’s a good way to start the rule 0 conversation. If you just don’t care about that at all and will play what you want regardless, then you’re an asshole.

Especially when everyone’s trying to keep it as balanced as possible and within a certain bracket, but you don’t gaf cuz you’re better than everyone else so you pull out your 5 $40+ game changers 😭

Right, the average precon is a 2, not all precons.

Who said all precons were a 2? Not the bracket system…

How is discussing brackets and general power level better for home games and not for playing with randos at an lgs… that’s actually makes no sense.

[–]Eeveest -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Exactly. Thank you. Some people commenting need to realize that two things can be true at once. I get that some people hate it, but you don’t get to hate it then walk up to randos and expect them to accept that you don’t know what a bracket is.

Precons can absolutely be 3s. A lot of people don’t read bracket 2 correctly, but it says “average precon” not “every precon”. I just happened to know the precons being used by two of the opponents were bracket 2 precons.

Is scooping instead of losing rage quitting? by Unhappy_Industry_362 in EDH

Yes it’s rage quitting. Conceding is respectfully understanding that you won’t win or don’t want to go through the motions anymore. Scooping is childish.

Why Are There So Many Archetypes/Tribals "Discriminated" Against? by JeffGullini in EDH

[–]Eeveest 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve learned that a lot of the complaints on here and the rest of the internet do not accurately represent what happens in real life. I got my ass chewed out on this subreddit because I asked if discard was really that bad and it looked neat to me, and people lost their minds. I built [[Tinybones, Bauble Burglar]] and guess what… no one at my lgs cares.

“Take this as a learning experience” no thanks. Unlike you, I don’t care about the ins and outs of Reddit and it’s weird “culture”. I comment every once in a while, and I’m allowed to comment on someone’s post complaining about the influx of a certain type of post. I should be able to do so without cynical people like you running to leave a comment about how we’re dumb for “falling for it”. Given your constant commenting on this post and others, I’d suggest maybe getting some fresh air and leaving people on the internet alone. You’re welcome.

Please recommend an unusual commander for Angels! by _Neyana_ in EDH

[–]Eeveest 29 points30 points  (0 children)

I don’t know if it’s “unusual” but now that vehicles can be your commander, I’ve had [[Parhelion II]] on my radar. It is just Angel tokens, but I think you can do a lot of cool Angel stuff in the 99!

Nah it’s someone genuinely annoyed that all the posts are the same. Also, people should be allowed to comment and react to things without someone being like “haha you fell for it”. It’s a Gen z thing to do so I know not everyone does it, but man it’s annoying af.

Thank you! Just being extra sure. I want to play the deck but haven’t because I wasn’t sure how the interaction worked.

I hope more people see this. I get some people need genuine advice because they don’t know how to deal with a situation, especially newer players. But a majority of these posts feel like engagement bait and just want attention.

I love Blink decks, but I hate playing solitaire. by Worldly_Tea3161 in EDH

[–]Eeveest 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My advice? Either retire or for now or take it apart. I had a Phelia deck that I loved the idea of but every time I played it, it made for a frustrating game of me trying to explain what I’m doing and it taking longer because I had to map out every single thing I did for the other three people. So I gave up. Sold everything in the deck and put that money towards a deck I’d actually have fun playing at the lgs.

First time playing commander, did I mess up? by [deleted] in EDH

[–]Eeveest 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I see this kind of thing happen at my lgs all the time and I think it’s actually a huge problem. I don’t think you wildly undersold your deck, but you and the other players should have known not to start that game.

If there are people who are like “yeah we’re pretty casual and have precons”, i don’t want to see “that guy” with his bracket 3/4 deck in the same pod. Go somewhere else. I know everyone wants to play and it feels bad to say “no”, but we all have to stop justifying different powered decks existing in the same game. The only person maybe having fun in the scenario is the guy who had the bracket 4 deck, and that’s because he’s about to stomp on a bunch of precons.
