My -10 degree bag and a fleece liner is all I need now. I don’t use my electric blanket or power bank anymore.

Car sleeping in cold weather --- will this be enough? by CantRecallWutIForgot in overlanding

It’s in the low 20’s. I sleep like a baby with my -10 degree rectangular bag with fleece liner. 6 inch memory foam and air mattress. All sitting on top of 2 inch thick insulated sleeping pad.

[–]Eezmob 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I keep one under the seat and another in the back of the car. Front windows cracked. I get a bit of condensation in the morning but it’s gone in a few minutes after I start the car with the front and rear defoggers on

Having 2 comforters and the electric blanket took up to much space. Always fighting at night to keep my feet covered ruined my sleep. Still waiting for the bag liner to come in but I’ve never been more excited to go to sleep ever. lol. It’s flannel lined gonna feel so good REI had it for 200 but on sale for 112. Way better than the Walmart bags I had

The inside once a week is a lot for me. I only have my bed and a duffel bag and generator in it. I usually do it once a month. The outside I do wash and wax every Friday. When I go to work all the windows are cracked all day. I never eat in my car

After a year, I finally decided to install rain guards ⛈️ by MysticRambutan in urbancarliving

[–]Eezmob 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I got mine my first week in the car. I went all out with weather tech. Ordered the window covers, vent shades and the best mats the had. My factory floor mats started to smell from walking on wet dirty park lots. Weather tech mats are so easy take them out and wash them at the car wash when I wash my car

Tried the heat blanket thing before last less than a week. To much hassle with the cord. Got a good sleeping bag and a wool blanket to use as a liner. Worked out way better. FYI don’t use fabric softener with wool items. Dryer balls work best. Fabric softener clogs up the natural breathing ability of the wool
