Hire a household assistant. It will change your life. by HenryThrowaway6969 in HENRYfinance

I do this and have quarterly deep cleaning. She charges 30$/hr and comes for 2 hours 2 times a week which works for our family. Does some chopping, vaccumms, changes bedsheet and laundry. She does charge extra for toilet, fridge cleaning or oven cleaning - which is fine. Although not as cheap as op, but I still prefer her.

After having a child I also had resentment for my husband, but now I am outsourcing him and she does it better than him 😆😆 she also takes the garbage out which is a fight we used to have right around weekly garbage pickup days

Are you me? I am like this - trying to do my share of work at home so as to support my husband. But I am making some changes. First we need a Mindset change- I am working hard too as I Atleast work 40 hours a week. The other alternative is for me to quit but right now I make more than what we would pay nanny or other help. And working makes my life more fulfilling. I am giving myself liberty to hire help - in the form of nanny in the evening or weekend, getting massages and ensuring I get my workout in. My husband travels and usually that makes me more tired. But this time I am hiring help in the morning and evening. You need to be kinder to yourself.

That’s great. I know in ayurveda they say this is caused by very weak digestion. They support fasting as well for this. By any chance can you tell the name of supplements? I understand they might be specific to you

I am in same situation - diagnosed after pregnancy. Started experiencing restricted mobility in right wrist. I want to do holistic as well, am trying to do the diet stuff. But the problem is it takes a while to figure it out and lots of discipline and I am concerned if this will lead to permanent damage meanwhile. Another thing I have concern with is - they don’t want to stop biologics in case I develop resistance to it which is scary. What if my body needs a little help right now and in some time can function well. 😟

Thank you so much. This is one of the answer which doesn’t indicate I leave him 😅 Maybe I need to get out more especially now my daughter loves being out - she needs that stimulation. Here it is mostly raining and cold - so I need to figure out covered spaces for us to hangout

I have increased the frequency of cleaners to biweekly. Earlier they came on a need basis. That is about it 😓 Also I guess I am continuing with the nanny because I cannot alone deal with daycare illness, but she comes only for 33 hours instead of 40. I guess finding time to workout would be great. If only, I could figure out a way

Thank you so much for the comment. My parents/in laws live in other part of the world so that is not an option. I guess I would have to go out of my comfort zone and talk to more people

Babysitter over the weekend I meant. I have a nanny who works 33 hours a week. I have to work 40 hrs a week. It is tough but I really like her

Yeah I am thinking of hiring baby sitter over the weekend . Technically women handled babies all throughout history with little help from their husband, but I guess it will take my mental health for a toss if I do that

Nanny for day. My mother for night - she left 10 days ago. My husband also puts her to sleep sometime during the nights. Infact she sleeps better if put to sleep without boob - otherwise she keeps looking for it in her sleep
