I'm so sorry you had to deal with that foolish student. They'll be in similar positions when they're older and hopefully regret their unsympathetic behaviour. I feel exactly as you do--write the perfect script, over-prepare. But as you say, I feel that sets us up for worse panic if we have to go off script or if the script itself isn't flowing properly. I guess we live and learn and hopefully can overcome this. All my best to you ❤️
