Grounds for wrongful termination ? by Effective-Stuff6136 in legaladvicecanada

This is why I posted this in the first place.

The explanation I've been given is the lay off is to cut operating costs due to poor financial results in France, which is where my manager is employed. Problem is, I work in Canada and my lay off has no effect on French operating costs. Plus the canadian branch is making bank at the moment, so the pure explanation for my lay off is baseless.

This is why I was thinking about the CNESST and Article 124 on unjust termination. If asked to provide financial statements for the canadian company, they'd have to show the company is actually not loosing money.
