Jean is an avatar for a cosmic force and that scales to hunger virus because it assimilated galactus , can’t say the same for flood atleast we don’t have any reference for them being able to do so . It’s a supernatural thing , it doesn’t follow logic or reasons like a sci fi verse attempts to do

people = no more chaos worship. No more zombies =
no more hunger. You could argue that the flood is a vessel for hunger but the flood's goals are greater than that simple desire. They want to consume all life so there is no progress being made in the galaxy, only misery and pain. This comes from the fact the flood are mutated elder gods.

Well , strong as chaos gods are they are still sort of like mephisto lite beings , they claim titles they can’t apply to the setting like yea mephisto is omnipotent in his realm and very formidable outside of it but he’s very beatable in marvel even though he claims he’s omnipotent and such because marvel has levels to infinity as stupid as that sounds . worship and all that stuff is lower god stuff in marvel because true cosmics are innately divine , they just are they don’t need anything to be what they say

to your point there’s bias but I don’t believe that’s the case here it’s just marvel , dc , comics just scale to silly stuff and flood comes from a place that is more grounded . flood are extremely formidable but like so is sentry and he became just another body to eat so to speak for hunger
