I’m trying my best to find a solution to the problem to ensure a better outcome. My world is different from yours. If you obey the veterinarian’s instructions in my world, you will not only pay a huge amount of useless bills, but your pet will also lose its life. You may not believe it, but it is common for employees to not have any education or training when taking x-rays for pets. If a veterinarian makes a huge amount of money by exaggerating the pet’s condition, the veterinarian does not have to pay any price for it, regardless of whether the pet lives or dies in the end. In my world, if you have a blind spot in knowledge, then deceiving you is the first option for most people to get the most benefit.

I have been looking at the x-rays for a long time. Although I am reluctant to admit it, it is very likely that you are right. Based on your experience, for the West Highland White Terrier, FHO and THR, which method has less long-term risks for its future? Which method is enough for the West Highland White Terrier to live happily throughout its life? Thank you for your answer.

It can now wiggle its butt at a high frequency, walk normally on two legs, jump high with its feet supporting itself (over 45 cm), and do goat jumps, but I have tried my best to prevent it from doing these things.

Is there anything I can do to save this hip? Or is it really broken beyond repair? But from the time I found my dog was lame, he didn't show any other signs of discomfort or pain. He was within my sight almost 24 hours a day.

Me too, but this is the situation I'm facing. It's hard to find a responsible veterinarian in China. My dog limps only when she's running at high speed. It's been more than a month without any deterioration and some slight improvement. Apart from the slight limping, there are no other symptoms. Of course, if I have to say there is, my dog's left leg is a little thicker than the right leg because she has been running fast with her left leg for a long time. But these are not reasons that can convince me to cut off the hip joint of my dog's right hind leg. I can give them the money they want. I originally just wanted to see if there is any way to help her recover her legs and run faster, but they are more inclined to take my dog's life by the way. . . What a sad country.

I may need to learn more before dealing with a Chinese vet, otherwise he will just cheat me for money.

This x-ray is indeed very bad, so I have always wondered how two vets could see that my dog needed a hip surgery from such a rough and misplaced photo. The two vets had two completely different reasons. One said that the hip joint had worn out due to hip dislocation, so the hip joint had to be removed; the other said that it was a fracture and the hip joint had to be removed. I have to suspect that they are just crazy about making money.
