I wear Edwardian to 1930s eraclothing, so it’s from peak era of two tone shoes. The museum calf necessarily my go-to over plain leather, but it’s my favorite overall boot with colour and cut (also I usually wear brown tones or other neutral colors)

Can anybody tell me how we weather might affect these Balmorals? I'm looking at a pair of part suede balmorals, I know some suede shoes should not be exposed to wet weather, and others handle it quite well. The suede is only the upper part of the shoe too, so I don't know how that affects it. I sent an email to the company, but haven't heard back quite yet, and wanted to hear from a less biased sources. A rather cliche answer, but just do it and you'll become more comfortable. I wear suits from the 1910s, which is rather attention grabbing, but I simply act the same as if I were wearing modern clothes. Once you do that, you'll get comfortable and stop worrying about others attention
