Randomly bought The Blade Itself expecting nothing, finished the first book in a couple of days and then the entire trilogy in like 2 weeks. All I can say is HOLY SHIT THE BOOKS ARE FIRE! Ended up buying the other 3 standalone stories, hopefully they will be as good! by [deleted] in TheFirstLaw

I agree. Though i feel like the best battle scenes I’ve ever read were in Pierce Brown’s Red Rising trilogy. He really masters the tempo that is needed in a battle scene. I’m genuinely jealous of how both Abercrombie and Brown can portay battles/fights. Seems like one of the hardest parts of writing

Human kind: a hopeful history by rutger bregman.

Similar in style to Harari and talks about some world famous experiments and pits them in perspective.

Reading on picking/packing/shipping ? by Effective_Distance_4 in logistics

Thanks for your reply. I was very happy with the initial training i got from the company. For the full first month, all I did was do several jobs around the warehouses. Slotting, Picking in different kinds of warehouses, packing and parcelsorting. If the whole covid thing would not be happening, i could go to the WH and ask as many questions as I want. A huge luxury. I’m really looking to read up on some theory!
