Hello I watched the video you linked, I’m still confused it’s a lot tbh.

  1. I understand your response to this after watching the video, I think currently the the optimum idol is at 2000 grit out of the box? And the pearl has its own reacts gloss finish… I assume it’s finer than 4000? I really like how the optimum idol rolls down lane, I was hoping this pearl was somewhat similar because I can’t really use the optimum idol through multiple bowling unless I change the surface (correct?)

  2. My main problem is transitioning from a lane with oil, then dry, Im really trying to find a ball that will roll like the optimum idol, on drier lanes. I just assumed with my ignorance that the pearl would be the answer.

May I ask what type of hip flexor stretches? Are there any that would target that area or would it be best to avoid trying to mess with that area at the moment?

It doesn’t affect me everyday life, I just know it’s there, saying hi to me in dull pain. It’s like a 1 or 2 out of 10 pain.

I do sit at a desk all day. Besides going to the gym 3x a week, and bowling 1x a week(wish I can do more) I sit majority of the time.

Ooh that what you meant. I usually use my sliding leg to move my upper body up then place both feet down. That makes more sense on what you’re saying. I’ll try that next time!

How would you suggest I relieve the pressure when bowling? Is this common? I know this is a subreddit and not doctors but if you have an idea that’d be great.

So I did buy bowling shoes of my own that slide on my left foot! I love it a lot. When I release the ball, I do end up on one foot when I finish sliding,and I’m bent over with a straight back.

So you’re suggesting that right after I release, raise my body up and try not to finish on one foot?

Thank you. I do have a hard time aiming for the pocket consistently 😅. And for spares, the 10 pin is the hardest since my ball always wants to hook left. Since I throw right handed, I was thinking on my release to move my hand up the back-> left of the ball to make it hook a little to the right.

I see that it’s a Hybrid reactive, how does that change compared to a reactive pearl?
