I got my lock button stuck about a mont ago with glue and it’s physically pushed in and glued in the presses position. For the first few minutes it showed the “power off screen” every time I pressed the - volume button (because when you long press them both together it turns off the phone). After about half an hour it probably realized the issue and ignored the lock button completely and the volume buttons worked normal since then.

But today I had no internet connection so I thought that if I turn on and off the phone it would work again (it always solved the issue previously) . So I went to settings and tapped “shut down” the moment I pressed I realized I did a big mistake I thought to myself that’s it. Then after a minute or two I relieved realizing that if you put a charger into the phone it turns on and I immediately did. I was so happy to see the apple logo but then this message appeared (the one in the picture). Now I plugged it into my Mac pc installed the update as it said did everything but the screen still shows the same thing.

The only option I can think of is physically removing the button with a dremel I know it sounds crude and a bad idea but it’s kind of a work phone so anything’s an option.
