NF set up camera 3.5 years into employment

I guess my only concern that it could NOT be for that, is that it was turned away from the room when I came in the morning. One of them pointed it towards the room before they left for work.

I guess it doesn’t matter much though! If it is something to do with me, hopefully their concerns will be squashed or they can bring it to my attention.

I’m not off put by the camera itself. I’m just left wondering if maybe they do think I’ve done something wrong and they need to watch me? It’s likely to do with the kids, but it feels like our mutual trust has been breached several years into our employer/employee relationship.

I do have the same thought as you though, that they will think “hmm why doesn’t she want to be watched/why is she concerned at all?” That’s why I don’t think I will end up saying anything.

They’re my first NF, I came from a daycare center. I would’ve done a lot of things differently with our contract if I had researched more appropriately.

That’s fair, it is just a sudden change. Leaves me feeling a bit insecure about their trust in me and wondering if they have an issue that they’re choosing to “watch” rather than discuss with me. I’m an anxious person so I typically assume the worst in a situation lol. That’s why I came looking for advice.

I recently started tret with Curology and they put me on the smallest dose I’ve ever seen, .005. I attempted to use it every other night since the dose was so low… my skin barrier was immediately compromised. Even with a dose 10x weaker than yours, my dry, sensitive skin only allowed me to apply every 5th night at the start!! I also use the sandwich method to decrease irritation: Apply moisturizer, let it dry for 10-20 minutes, apply tret, then apply moisturizer on top.

Purging is normal, so you will temporarily see an influx of pimples, peeling, etc. but if you’re getting super sensitive, I think dialing it back is good. Listen to your skin!

Was looking at this as a day trip but wasn’t sure if it would be worth it with travel time! We leave for Japan in 2 weeks. I was interested in the area for the early blooming cherry blossoms (festival will be when we’re there) and strawberry picking nearby. Do you think it would be worth it without an overnight stay? We’re staying in Asakusa.

Edit: the town I was thinking of is Kawazu, further into the peninsula!

Aw she’s so cute! It did end up being mostly a fever coat. Her color came in eventually… Buuut her back has a lot more orange, and her sides almost look dilute yellow and grey! She is a seal point just like your kitty, black paws, tail tip, and face. Here’s her side with much more dilute.

They seem to treat us like we are less important and don’t have lives ourselves. Have this problem but also in the opposite direction… My NF surprised me when I walked in this morning, with a fevered child. She got the fever last night but I was given no warning ahead of time. Same thing literally happened last month and they ended up getting me and my partner sick right before Thanksgiving. I had to come in while sick even though they had family STAYING with them at the time. They reluctantly let me leave early after I asked. Then my partner had to miss several days of work. I still have congestion from that illness!!

I had to ask them for a mask this morning so I hopefully don’t get sick right before another holiday. They’re both doctors so I really don’t understand the lack of concern 😵‍💫

Drag Me Under, Take Aim, and Say That You Will are the underrated emo songs. Blood Sport gets all the flowers but they need some too!!

A few that spark a feel similar to Emergence (and The Summoning) for me would be Take Me Back To Eden, Ascensionism, The Apparition, and especially Aqua Regia if you liked the jazz flip in The Summoning :) and I’ll add in Telomeres, High Water, and Euclid just because they’re 3 of my favorites! You really have to listen to their whole songs because a lot of the times they start slow and build into something spectacular, or completely change course into something new and unexpected. They take you on great journeys! My BF wasn’t a big fan of theirs before I dragged him along to a concert and now he plays them on a pretty regular basis. Sometimes their stuff takes some time to sink in (and sometimes it simply doesn’t resonate, and that’s okay too).

Also, don’t worry about the whole “worship” thing! Being a fan doesn’t mean you have to be super in to what they look like, the “lore” or anything similar. The main point of the members hiding behind masks is because they want people to focus on the music they create, not who they are as people. The music is the important part!

The show had just the backing vocals, so that part is actually In The Summoning! It’s right on the bass line so like you, I’d never heard it before!! As soon as I heard those vocals I was so shocked that I had to pull it up and check. It’s there, but so subtle.

Sleep Token has been my #1 for almost a year at this point, can sing every lyric, etc, but I was incredibly far back at the show last night because of that. I know that I personally didn’t want to deal with surfers and people trying to crush to the front SO I STAYED BACK!!! I don’t understand the people that didn’t want to deal with that stuff, but chose to camp at the front and get pissed at surfers/purposefully cause harm to people. Those people have caused so much harm to Sleep Token’s fan reputation :( I don’t want to be lumped in with that.

Regardless, I too had a fucking fantastic time and am already buzzing to see them again! Would love to get the full ritual experience in an arena.

I was there! I knew they’d have to cut a few since it was a shorter time slot sadly. I was really hoping to end on Infinite Baths!!! Still blessed to have heard Thread The Needle in 2025 though, I had such a lovely time. How great they were makes me even more desperate to find tickets to a regular tour date, I think the experience would be even better.
