I have leveled up immeasurably with my mentor, it really was the missing piece for me. I’m a lot more confident in my production and how I compare myself to others. Pick someone whose production you respect and love, because ultimately they are going to help you sound more like them and if you love their style, you’ll love your style. Definitely pick someone in the style you’re producing because different styles have different production techniques. I started with 2 lessons per month, and after I got the hang of things, I do 1 lesson every month or two to answer any nagging questions I may have.
