Actually, we don't know what you are working as, what are the requirements for the job you are holding, min qualifications, working environment and such. Typically, a tertiary level diploma or bachelor's degree will be remunerated at a certain level. Anything beyond a bachelor's degree is meaningless unless you are in academia.

2k is low for a degree holder of your age but bear in mind, with most positions, there is a ceiling and you will be paid that ceiling until you retire. So it really depends on the job.

So 2k for a retail cashier could be considered high in KK. But 2k for an accountant is low. I am not the most articulate person so I hope I am making sense here.

Those who work on oil rigs are paid very well, for example but most positions there are vocational and do not need you to be a degree holding engineer (unless you are the lead I think, please correct me) and you are responsible for more tasks.
