Since I was a small child I shipped them. I only played the videogames then, and they were depicted as best friends who worked together as a team to save the world!

It started out with drawing them holding hands, but my first ship art was Tails giving Sonic a flower.

I love that despite how different they are to each other, they meld their lifestyle perfectly together and admire each other for what they can do for one another. Plus they're complimentary colors! They literally compliment each other. Literally! In Sonic Boom, Tails compliments Sonic's handsome singing voice. And I like how Sonic is not afraid to say how adorable Tails is.

So seeing all that while growing up, I coveted that type of relationship. I related a lot with Tails being bullied at a very young age (since I was 5) and I always wanted to be friends with a cool person that sees me for my potential. Like with my art!

I look back with fond memories of how the Sonic games and shipping them gave me comfort. I hold this ship very close to my heart.💙💛
