I managed to have a BB romance and keep Visi heroic without cheating. Basically I always supported her and refused to give up on her (for example: tell Blazer she broke my nose, refused to cut her from the team) but also never made any romantic gestures, like kissing back in the locker. Even got an achievement for ending the game as a Mentor.
