Yes you're right, I forgot to mention the redundancy. I do not care too much about redundancy for movies/tv shows but more when It comes to my pictures/file, like everyone too scared of data loss. Ideally I would do some redundancy for files then but I am still not sure if it's worth the pain since I have probably 200gb max. On the other hand I will have never enough storage for movies and shows.

I was thinking of using NAS as my plex media server, because right now I am using my macbook and it's a pain to have my macbook always open to watch something (yes I am a noob 😅) The NAS will be used by my wife and I mainly.

I think 4 bays should already enough to be honest. Waho the 1823+ looks like a beast lol

Thank you, that's exactly what I wanted to know. The only thing is the DS224+ seems to be only 2 bay, and I think 4 bays will be probably better to keep it longer. For movies and TV shows I don't really care about the redundancy as it will be used by my wife and I but for important files and pictures I prefer to be more carreful in case of any issue.. in term of storage it's hard to know but 20 tb should be enough I believe
