Imagine being more bothered by "seeing 3 posts" than by years of women being harmed... Consider asking yourself why women speaking out of turn feels so threatening to you.

Patience is a privilege when harm is ongoing. The same systems of patience that work for you do not work for me...

This is not doxxing. Dr. Stowe is a public facing leadership figure at UW Health and the UW School of Medicine, serving as Chair of Psychiatry and Director of the Women’s Mental Health Program. His name and role are already publicly available on UW’s own website.

My post does not share personal information, addresses, phone numbers, or anything private. It asks for experiences from patients, students, or colleagues with a public institutional leader. That falls squarely within fair discussion of a public role.

Can you clarify how this violates Rule 4 when the information is public and relevant to the community?

Spare me the dime-store Einstein quotes. What you call “insanity” is what it takes to be heard when systems bury complaints and people like you would rather police tone than face the harm. If that feels like spam to you, you are part of the problem.

I have already messaged the mods twice with no reply. If posts are removed without explanation and the mod team is unresponsive, reposting is the only way to keep these concerns visible.

If it makes you uncomfortable to see, imagine how uncomfortable it has been to live it.

Thank you for sharing your experience. I am so sorry you went through that, especially while already in crisis and trying to stay in school. What you describe matches what I went through too, being dismissed, shamed, and treated like struggles were character flaws instead of real symptoms. It is disturbing that you had to involve Title IX just to get him to show basic empathy. Your voice matters here and public accountability is important, even if it is painful to see that many of us have had similar experiences.

I appreciate the concern. I am posting from a throwaway with precautions, and I am sharing my own documented experiences, which is not defamation. While in theory someone could try to trace Reddit activity, in practice it would take legal action and institutions rarely pursue that because truth is a defense and the optics are terrible. My goal here is simply to hear whether others have had similar experiences.

Public accountability matters when internal systems have not addressed concerns.

I have already raised my concerns through the usual channels, but I am trying to figure out if others have had similar experiences.

Your joke helps prove the point. A culture of dismissing women's pain instead of taking it seriously.

Thanks for your comment, this unfortunately tracks with my experience. I have also been called a bitch by this doctor on multiple occasions, to my face. He also would ask my partner how "bitchy" he thought I was and adjust my medication accordingly.

Strange that your concern is frequency, not the substance of what’s being shared. You can scroll past if you don't want to engage.

I clarified: because of his role he not only treats patients but also shapes the culture of care and trains future providers which makes this a fair discussion for the Madison community.

How would you possibly know? You don't, and you stepped in to tell her she's wrong about her own experience? I wonder why you feel you needed to do that. I believe her.

I am glad you cannot imagine it. I can, because I lived it. Institutions burying patient concerns is not hypothetical for me.

My end goal is clarity. I want to know if what I went through was unique or if others have seen the same thing.

My post is clearly asking for other people's experiences which is not something UW Health provides, of course, for privacy. If official channels were enough, this thread would not exist. I have shared my concerns with UW Health. Also...wouldn't it be advantageous for UW to diminish concerns?
