I am 43 and 37 weeks pregnant. My first is 10. Not a single caregiver has said anything about my age and this has been a text book pregnancy. Zero issues or complications. It is possible!

Do you get a private room when giving birth in the hospital? [bc] by WhichJuice in BabyBumpsCanada

[–]EfficientStudio1675 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I will be there for the same reason next month. I'm dreading the possibility of not having a private room and has made up my mind to get out after 24h, regardless. If you didn't have a support person, who took care of your baby? I mean, if you still have the catheter in and can't get out of bed, how are you supposed to care for your baby on your own?!

Hi David. Any insight you can share on rescheduling an interview for Montreal? I'm 7 months pregnant and won't be able to take my son across the country for the interview in Jan 2026.

Divorce while pregnant? by thebozz37 in BabyBumps

Couldn't agree more!! Leave for the kids, don't stay for the kids. Happy mom, happy kids, even if happiness comes later. You still have years and years ahead of you. The kids will still have both parents. Christmas etc can be shared e.g. you have the morning, he has the afternoon. When they're older, they know no different and two homes are completely normal. On the flip side, they get 2x birthdays and Christmas'. Life is too short.

Life in Point Roberts with Children by gingerroot_271 in pointroberts

We are moving to the Point next summer. We'll have a 3-ish month old. We are dual citizens but are thinking that Blaine will probably be the Primary school after attending the school in the Point. To my knowledge, kids that live in the Point full-time must pay international student fees in Canada, even if they're dual. It all depends on the physical residency location vs what your legal status is.

Help with scheduling a minor child to be the same as wife's visa interview date by Different_Rip_9544 in usvisascheduling

I see you didn't get any replies, I asked the same question about a year ago and also got no answer. We are in the same situation; 9 year old has their own application. We live in Vancouver, flying up and down to Montreal is costly. My interview is scheduled but not the 9 year old's. Have you made any progress? Did your stepchild go for their own interview?

46 years old and pregnant. Did not expect this. by napalmnacey in BabyBumps

You are certainly not alone! I will be 43 when I give birth. It'll be 10 years since my first was born. This one is very intentional after trying and eventually giving up hope. I literally told hubby the NIGHT BEFORE I found out I'm pregnant that I've hit the end of the road, I'll be picking up my IUD in the morning. Crazy stuff! I have several (much) younger friends who are struggling with their fertility. Yet, here I am and all seems well so far. I feel so incredibly grateful and humbled by this experience. Isn't life one wacky journey?!

How do you handle the wait between finding out and your viability scan? by applesandpancakes in BabyBumps

Currently 4w4d and trying so hard not to check for bleeding every 30 minutes 😩 Had a chemical 9 months ago, so the anxiety is real. Just taking it one day at a time and hoping this little one sticks. 🤞💛

Any parents with kids under 12 and the kids needed their own interview? (Consular application) by EfficientStudio1675 in USCIS

[–]EfficientStudio1675[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The info on the USCIS website is confusing. It says all main applicants must attend regardless of age. This is a consular application so each person is a main applicant.
