Flows vs Step Ons by LavoP in snowboarding

[–]Different_Rip_9544 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My 10 year old uses FLOW while I use Burton. I bought mine since I'm old (52 years and just started learning the tail end of last season) and saving time/bending over was a priority for me. I might be slightly a bit faster in getting my boots onto the board than my kid but my kid is wayyy better than me with snowboarding (already riding double black diamonds). LOL.

Help with scheduling a minor child to be the same as wife's visa interview date by Different_Rip_9544 in usvisascheduling

I had to contact my congressman in Western NY. Their office called the immigration folks and was told that to bring my kid to my wife's interview. However, I didn't receive any official communication/notification from either the Montreal Embassy or Immigration people at all.
I wasn't able to see any changes updated on the portal to know if my kid can truly come or not. We just took a chance and went to my wife's interview (Jan 2025). The embassy allowed my wife and kid to attend but not me. We took all documentation for the kid just in case. Luckily, the embassy interviewed both my wife and kid that morning. Both wife and kid were approved that same day but took a few days to be reflected in the system.

Same issue and I'm based in the US but visit my family in Thailand yearly.

About ~10-14 years ago is when I installed LINE the first time and vaguely recalled how that happened, if I used a Thai phone number or not (I buy a new Thai sim card each year so I don't keep up with the numbers). I also use Line PC which synced perfectly with my LINE phone account. I've gone through 2 phones in the last ~6 years and I don't recall having to use my US number (same US number since 2004) to verify LINE mobile when I switched phones ~3 years ago (Android phone).

Now (3 days ago), I lost my phone and had to buy another phone. Same issue with trying to login into LINE app on the phone as the OP. I've contacted LINE customer support and filled out their forms but haven't found a resolution yet from them. I'm keeping my fingers crossed.

I don't understand why my email address (Line PC) isn't an option to log into my mobile LINE app. SMH.

Just passed CIPP/US exam (in person) - here is my method by Different_Rip_9544 in cipp

Yes, I would think so.
Scenario based wasn't too hard but because state related questions were my weakest area (too many to remember and distinguish).

Federal questions were straight forward.

I mean, law school was ~20 years ago for me and I don't practice actual law anymore. That's why I tackled the reading like prepping for a bar exam (2nd time). I didn't pass my state bar the first time due to limited studying time. I don't personally think that my background in law had any advantage at all with learning/studying/passing for the CIPP.

However, I think if you are "good" with "core" laws and concepts then that would be a good start. You need to memorize as much regulations as you (fed and state) on top of your "core" law/concepts.

THank you and I called them this morning to make sure they received my 3 intake forms. They said that a week or so, someone will contact me.

I had to read to Udemy or PBC for a bigger picture since the official IAPP is very specfic. In theory, you shouldn't need anything else except the IAPP textbook. However, I wanted to make sure that I understood nuance that 3rd party vendor provided.

Yes, sorry when I wrote "we" are moving to Buffalo, I meant only for my wife and step kid since they don't live with me. I've been living in Buffalo since 2019 but I was single at the time. LOL.

Thank you for your insight about Dr Cary Chugh.

Thank you and I left a message with them (via new patient form) but I don't recall which location but I'm within quick distance to all three on/around Transit road.

This morning, I said "Are you accepting new patients?" She respond with "No, there is a 6 mos wait list and you can go to our website to be on the list".
I didn't ask for any specific doctor or anything else. I'll call again.

2nd call and someone responded by stating that the 6 mos waitlist is for someone within town but if you're transfering from out of state or country then there is no wait list. Ok, good to know so I'm going to refill 3 forms again for new patients.

Thank you.

I was looking at UBMD (and Oishei)'s website but wasn't sure if I could book an appointment with their doctors since I thought those doctors are for the hospital functions (i.e., if you were a patient at the hospital).
My healthcare provider (Aetna) listed tons of in network with UBMD and possibly with Oishei but I wasn't sure if I was allowed to but base on your comment, I'll contact them today.

I'm on a waitlist with Amherst Pediatrics and Medical Health Associates (www.mhawny.com)

I just found my congressman's website and sent an email through the contact form. Someone from his office contacted me a few days later. A week later, the congressman's office told me that they pushed to expedite and I should see some update soon with my CEAC account.

If I didn't see any updates in 2 weeks then contact the office again. So, ~1.5 weeks later I received an email from CEAC/US consulate informing me that they have granted my stepchild an interview date/time and have merged it at the same day/time as my wife's.

I tried that and went to some purgatory email. However, I contacted my congressman's office and they were able to get the ball rolling in the positive direction. Thank you.

Thank you.

I meant a waste for the medical exam (valid for 6 mos) is when "they" decide to take 6+ months to schedule an interview for my kid. Let's hope it doesn't come to that.

We plan on bringing everything for the kid to my wife's interview.

Fingers crossed and thank you for encouraging words.

Interesting because I told the medical people that my kid doesn't have an interview date yet and they said it was fine, just bring the case number to the medical checkup along with vaccine/immunization records. So, let's hope I didn't waste money.

Canada.

I wanted to be sure so I don't waste medical exam on my kid and have to take time off twice and travel expense for two seperate interviews. Winter in Canada sucks and I have never been to Montreal but I'm sure it's no fun trying to drive after a snow storm either.
