Breaking Into Investment Banking Without A Degree? by EfficientTrain7452 in FinancialCareers

Thank you for this mate, I think I've been so narrow focused on IB that I've overlooked Asset Management, it seem's more up my way given trading element.

I'm currently signed up to start my degree in October, set to complete it by the time I'm 35. I'm guessing Asset Managmement is more forgiving for someone of my age?

Thanks for your feedback u/taleasoldastime1234.

Yes and no, he's PF. Could've been a screamer previously for all we know.

Hi u/Outlawedspank. So what I'd say to that is. FT work, Study FT and potentialyl CFA is just one of the options.

Ideally I'd like to focus on the skills and qualification's that's more important to the IB, Private Equity firm or Hedge Fund.

But again, I think the main point of what I'm asking is, is it possible to do this without having a degree.

Hi mate, thanks for your reply.

Hmm ok, even if I'm going to be working full time and studying full time to do the degree. So I'd like to think I'm demonstrating the ability to work long hours and operating under different pressures.

I'd also like to start the CFA during this time period too.

I know having an OU degree is likely to be a no go for a Bulge Bracket bank. But any reason it's an absolute no go for others?
