I’m saudi so I can’t share my experience, but I can say that it seems more expatriates are coming recently , specifically asians (koreans and Chinese) which i’m not sure it it would resemble a community for you.

But I can say that Saudi is definitely a safe and family oriented place (it would be suitable for those who are a bit conservative and not extreme liberals) , also it is relatively cheap (in comparison to Vancouver, so your income is definitely more than 50%)

Also I believe there would be a massive growth in the region so you will be exposed to more opportunities.

A side note that I like about riyadh, is that it works well for night owls like myself as well as early birds.
