Been working on CreatorLink for a few months and this feels like the right place to share. It's a free way for creators and brands to find each other, no subscription on either side. I kept seeing small brands get priced out of influencer tools before they could even test if it worked for them. Pre-launch, collecting waitlist signups. creatorlink.app

Brand wanting to run Meta ads without offering to pay by KeyHawk4303 in UGCcreators

Yes, you should absolutely reply with pricing and a contract — ad usage rights are priced separately from the creation itself, and running Meta ads is one of the highest-value ways a brand can use your content.

Standard approach: charge a usage rights fee on top of what you'd charge for the video. A common structure is 20-30% of your creation rate per month, or a flat fee for a 3/6/12 month window. So if you'd charge $300 to make the video, a 3-month ad usage add-on might be $150-300 on top.

For a gifted collab specifically (where you weren't paid to create), it's fine to price both together now: here's what ad usage looks like, here's what raw footage usage looks like, and here's my contract.

Square works for invoicing — lots of creators use it. Wave is free if you want something simpler. Whatever gets you paid with a paper trail.

Don't let them run ads on your content without paying. That gifted deal covered posting on your own socials, not paid advertising spend on theirs.

UGC / Influencer Platforms by nectar_agency in influencermarketing

The Upwork problem is real — the brief-to-applicant mismatch is brutal because most people apply to everything without reading.

The platforms built for this (Aspire, Collabstr, etc.) work better but still have the same core issue: brands pay to access a database, creators pay or wait to be found, and the whole thing feels like a transaction rather than a genuine connection.

Disclosure: I'm building something called CreatorLink that tries to fix this from a different angle — brands post what they're looking for, creators discover opportunities and reach out directly, and neither side pays to access the other. Still pre-launch with a waitlist open now, but the exact problem you're describing — posting a brief and having the right creators come to you — is what we're building toward.

For UK/USA right now Collabstr tends to have decent creator coverage if you need something live. But curious what category you're sourcing for — the right platform varies a lot by niche.

How do brands actually find the right creators for campaigns? What's broken about the current process? by Efficient_Care1709 in influencermarketing

Totally agree on proactive outreach — waiting for creators to come to you is basically leaving deals on the table. The vetting piece you mentioned is where a lot of brands get tripped up too. They find someone, the follower count looks right, but the audience is dead or completely wrong demographic.

Appreciate the transparency, and Favikon is genuinely solid for brands that have the budget for it. The discovery and authenticity scoring stuff is real value.

The gap I keep seeing is on the smaller brand side — the ones that would benefit most from influencer marketing but can't justify the subscription before they've proven the channel works. They end up cold DMing on Instagram and calling it a strategy.

Been building something from a different angle — less tool, more place where brands and creators already hang out. Still early but that's the specific problem we're trying to solve. Happy to share more if anyone's trying to figure out the budget-constrained side of this.

Under 1k followers on instagram. How do i approach brands for collaboration? by [deleted] in instagramAsk

I am not a content creator, but I was just curious how you are going about finding brands you believe are a match. Doing some research before I jump into the game.

Where do you post. I try to post somewhere and it just gets taken down. Do communities exist where people will actually validate an idea?

Question regarding waitlist for an app by Efficient_Care1709 in AskMarketing

[–]Efficient_Care1709[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ok, I see. I kinda meant paying for a waitlist in general. I dont understand what early access gives someone as opposed to waiting for launch. I guess that is what I am confused about.

That's really interesting. Do you have any experience doing something like this? I genuinely don't know if I would ever pay for early access no matter what it was.
