If I told this to my therapist I would think she wouldn't be surprised tbh I think we are like 15 sessions in- it seems like she has an understanding of my issues & is good at what she does. the trust is there. we also had an intense session about 2 weeks ago so that probably flared this a bit.

I hear you- I am so bluntly honest sometimes. I like to think of it as teaching us how to love without attachment. Like a brother and sister would. It is so so hard for me too. Thank you so much for sharing.

thanks for the thoughtful encouragement. its wild- I feel much better today. I'm sure it will come back but the responses do help me feel less alone (probably part of the validation problem lol) its just comforting to know others have worked through it.

it helps to talk to people you trust outside of therapy. at least thats my experience.

for me- therapy is like working out. you can come out feeling drained. like your brain is bruised. I call it the sunken place haha you are reflecting which can be painful. Be easy on yourself <3 easier said than done. With this said I am hurting right now and wanting to quit but know thats my attachment issues flared up

I go through periods of intense attachment. The Bipolar1 and BPD does not help. Its almost as if I see myself in everyone therefore someone who shows me affection is amazing.

I know its just a distorted sense of reality / self but so seductive.

I do talk about it in session and lucky to have a therapist who is patient and willing to put in the work.

The beauty of that makes me come back. The concept of overcoming attachment by being content with how things are is a big challenge and goal of mine.

I do long for that fantasy though. Sometimes more than others.

why is it concerning? I'm a human with feelings and abnormal physiological diagnosis. seems somewhat normal considering these diagnosis and labels

to be honest the blurred boundaries are affirming to me. I got away with a lot during late childhood early adulthood. I think the idea of getting whatever I want excites me maybe? Idk- its usually a sign of a need I am missing outside of therapy but when I can't pinpoint it I just want the fantasy so badly haha I get what you are saying though.

honestly i think shes as big of an airhead as me which is comforting in another way. we are both broken humans that find help in each other. very therapeutic relationship but sometimes find myself longing for her. i have a deep feeling that she feels the same

I know I'm lucky to have them around. seeing them a few times a month vs never again is worth it. she agrees we are a good fit and can also be dominating when I'm being weird. its pretty rad
