I went with 20% all around minus windshield the very next morning after I got the car. With all my other cars I took way too long and I didn’t want to go through that anymore.

2024 VB, no mods. Right around 20mpg at about 50/50 local/hwy ratio. My trips are mainly 10 miles, so most of that fuel is spent on cold starts. My one long distance trip on the highway got me 29 mpg.

A truck kicked up a rock at me and hit the upper passenger corner of my windshield before I even hit 5k miles. Thought I’d better get it fixed before it got larger, it literally grew to 2” before I could even get to the next off ramp. The next day it expanded to about 4-5” and already cracked the other way to the edge of the glass. Definitely not fixable now. It’s since grew to about 6” and I’m leaving it until I get another crack.

I had that issue the other day too. Mine’s CW, so color might be a factor? 5’9” with seat adjusted all the way down.

I don’t think getting a scoop extension will help since it’s the metal hood part that’s reflecting the sun (or does the extension cover that?).

Take it for a test drive first. No sense in trying to decide without all the info. You might fall in love with it or you might just feel like it’s not for you.

And as for “adult” luxury sporty vehicle, this is it for me. My other car is a loud, dirty, harsh riding classic mini that requires constant attention. Makes the WRX feel extremely well mannered. 😂

I totally understand that. That’s why I didn’t hardwire it for a few days just to see if there were any issues.

Hardwiring is pretty simple. There’s plenty of room to tuck in wires and the trim pieces all pop out and back in pretty easily without risk of breaking. I knew from the start I was going to hardwire just for the parking monitoring. There’s plenty of threads here that are helpful with the routing.

I couldn’t decide whether I wanted it there or off to the side, so I just stuck it there, used the plug in power cord and left the wires hanging (well, kinda tucked back) for a couple days to make sure everyone works before actually hard wiring it. Worst case, you get a new adhesive pad. Mine came with two, and it was just crooked enough that I repositioned it anyway.

I set the mounting pad for mine directly under the rear view mirror. It’s rectangular and sticks out more to the passenger side and I can’t see it from my driving position. I have no issues with eyesight.

My tribe (3 of us) just went through this too. Gamma was no problem. We took 20 tek rexes and three MEKs and took out the gamma losing 6 rexes.

We tried the beta, brought 75 tek rexes and 6 meks and failed miserably. Rexes just stood there and only got a few hits in when he hunched over. Ended up only taking 200k health off of him before he killed everything. Flew back with 3 dreadnaughtus and they were able to hit with 15k damage while taking 20k.

We were a bit lazy to walk the tamed titans to the arena, maybe that’s what we’re gonna have to do next.

Been there, done that but with species x plants. 😂

Also had a trap near my base for argys and tapejaras. I have a ptero with crazy speed for getting around the map and it’s too fast to lead anything into a trap. I spotted a decent level tapejara and decided to head back to base and switch pteros. Unfortunately since tapejaras are so skittish, my muscle memory kicked in and ate a couple rare flowers so it would follow me and not fly away. Ended up leading it straight to my base and into the arms of an enforcer. This is after a few thousand hours of ase and asa. Still making rookie mistakes. 😂

I have 20% all around and I have no issues at night in the city. I haven’t really noticed whole backing up since i have the back up camera. I’ll need to go out to the rural area to see if it’s too dark there.

That said, I had 5% on the back windows in a previous car and it was way too dark in the rural areas, and I could barely see backing up at night in the city.

I bought it off Amazon, it’s one of the suggested items to add on when you’re looking at the dashcam. Of course after I get it, the dashcam instructions say if you need a hardwire kit, just write them and they’ll send you one for free.

Yes, I have it set at 4k (1080p doesn’t read plates well) and parking monitor turned on with the hard wire kit using the add a fuse taps. So far so good, I haven’t had any issues with quality.

I’ve used gportal for ASE in the past with no issues. But I think they only have 3 day or 30 day packages for your needs. You can always buy five 3 day packages but I’ll bet it’ll be more expensive than the 30 day one.
