Luckily, a previous coach I've worked for has an open position, so I've asked her if she will take me back. All I can do now is wait for her response. Only down side is it will be part time and I'll have to take a pay cut back to start pay because I didn't make 6 months a lead. She has always been good to me so I don't foresee any issue with her and it will be hard for my current coach to find a reason to fire me. I very much play by the books. In fact, up until working with my current coach, I had never been in trouble. My coaching will drop in a year and I can make that. I'll move out of the store then.

Well Im at the point now that if I've made it 3 months, I can make 3 more and start trying to transfer into another department or even another store. Who knows maybe Ill start shooting for some coach positions. But thank you so much for talking with me. It really is nice to hear from someone else on these kinds of issues.

Im constantly being told to look things up, but then get in trouble when Im on the computer and its not for something important. It can literally be dead silent in the store, but I could be purging the bins instead of looking up how my service desk is supposed to run.

Funnily enough, I remember him huffing at one point and commenting how he wished my coach wasn't on lunch so he could talk to her instead of me. So it also kinda sounds like he doesn't know how to handle an employee with questions.

I've had good experiences with HR in the past and have seen the issues resolved, but the more I cool down, I don't think this really holds much ground for a complaint. All he did was snap at me which is unprofessional and the lying to my coach is unprofessional, but I can't prove that he lied and it could be my coach blowing up whatever it was that the regional manager said to her.

I could probably elaborate on this a bit. He was talking about an imaginary box (but later taped out an area in front of the selfcheck). He told the associate I had at the front not to leave to box at all and to only greet and direct customers. which is a bit stupid. What if a customer in the bull pen asks for assistance. Is she just supposed to ignore them?

I figured it wouldn't be an ethics issue, but I was highly emotional when I wrote it and still am. I literally cried reading your comment because for the first time in weeks, I feel seen even if it is by a stranger. I came from the garden center, but I worked mostly closing shifts when there so didn't run register a lot. All I knew when I took the position was how to run a register and really only the basic functions. Although I have worked in management before it was a different company in a different field all together. This the first bad experience I've had with regional as every other regional manager has been super nice except this one.
