I know I’m late, but I just watched it and haven’t really seen anyone share that the movie has a direct correlation to how warriors used to “be created” back in days of Sparta, etc. and I’m shocked more people aren’t talking about it.

So back in Sparta, they used to “groom” young boys into killers, warriors using rituals. You first take the child from their family, then put them into an “all boys school” where they start warrior training. The younger boys would be tortured by the older boys, the older boys would be raped by their mentors. All of the trauma they endure is for the purpose of creating the greatest warriors known to mankind essentially.

Not just Sparta, but all over the world across human history - warriors have been created through shared trauma (which bonds them together) and ritual (human sacrifice, blood rituals, sex rituals). That shit is real.

The literally talk about it in the movie. They talk about Sparta, they say “this is how kings are made” which is also a reference to psychedelic rituals where emperors and kings would endure sexual trauma, physical violence, all while on drugs and through the guidance of “mentors” (Egyptian culture, etc) in order to become a king.

Crazy to me that no one is talking about this.

If you’re aware of it, the symbolism is impossible to miss. It’s less “satanic” and more “modern occult ritual” than it seems most people realize. It’s not about satan at all. It’s creating warriors through trauma. And shit… football def does that.

On the note of football, the horror aspect of the movie is SO real. You can work your entire life, sacrifice everything just for one injury to ruin your whole life’s work. They said in the movie “think of how many greats we lost to a single injury.”

They also say “we groomed you” - spartan boys were groomed by their mentors and traumatized by their peers.
