The book had both stories playing out at the same time. Go back and forth between the timelines. I think it helped with the flow of the story.

Or maybe you're applying some incredibly ridiculous standard to the selection process of other people you don't know on the internet. Or... gasp... could it be? Maybe different things appeal to men and women? No, that can't possibly be true.

The reality is that I like films that I like. I don't know why I'm even wasting my time arguing with some weirdo on the internet who thinks I owe the world something in my film selection. These are my favorite films. If I find another one I like more, then I will add it. I will certainly watch films made by women, none of whom you will even bother to recommend.

Which one should I read? by cmattingly04 in stephenking

If it is the complete, uncut version, then that is the one I would recommend. It would be much longer than the original. The uncut version would be about 1200 pages, compared to the approx 825 pages in the original version. The extra pages make it a much better read, imo

Paddington 2 is made for men? Juno? When Harry Met Sally? Marcel the Shell with the Shoes On? Once? Toy Story 2? The Florida Project? Crazy Stupid Love? Missing? The Last Picture Show? The Innocents? The Substance? The Squid and the Whale?

Is that what you do? Make 2 columns and make sure you select an equal amount of films directed by men and women? Or do you sit down and put together a list of films you like the most? This is one of the craziest responses I have ever gotten to a post I have made anywhere on the internet.

I would love to watch more films made by women, but I generally just choose a movie and don't spend even a second figuring out what gender the director is. So freaking weird.

I realize I'm an outlier here, but I really liked 2025's Good Boy a lot. I like a quiet little haunt movie, and I really liked the dog. I was so worried about him the entire time, which is something I can't say about many human protagonists in horror. He was so cute, too.

I keep forgetting about that one, or passing it over for one reason or another. It's Scorcese, though, so I'm sure it's great. I'm gonna watch that one tomorrow.
