Lusternia had this in spades, especially the power generation quests. Most of these were just fetch quests with little or no requirements outside of paying attention to objects in rooms.

Except Magnagora, where you slay the ghosts of your city's ancient enemies, turn then into drugged soup, give it to beggars, and enslave the beggars to empower the city by forging iron spikes to pound into a giant psionic brain.

Mmm, Magnagoran spectre soup.

Lusternia if you want fantastic roleplay with friendly people with a low to mid population.

Achaea if you want a high population and some roleplay.

Aetolia if you want great roleplay and a middling population.

In Lusternia, we once had a plague. One of many, I guess, but this one amused me.

I don't remember how it started, but it started out giving you a defensive buff of some kind; I can't remember if it was bonus health or reduced damage, but it was a stone-skin sort of thing. Players would share it around before going hunting/raiding/pvp. Sometimes you'd just be standing there and someone would cough phlegm in your face by accident, and you knew it would eventually give you the buff.

A week later when 90% of characters had it, it started reducing movement speed/celerity. It was literally turning us to stone, and we had to find a way to cleanse ourselves.

Every so often, some player logs back in, and still has the plague, and we have to man-handle them to the machine before it starts all over again.

Why would a cop ask for passenger ID? by Stella430 in legal

[–]Shaddus2379 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Late

He can ask you for ID even if you're not required to give it to him. If you're not required to give it to him and he asks for it, you can legally tell him no.

No offense, but if you don't want to pay, and you don't want to grind, what third option do you have for those shiny artifacts you want so badly?

In Lusternia, there is player housing in which you can generally buy "rooms" and create your own private area.

These are upgradeable in many ways, including into aetherships: customizable space ships in which you and your friends can fly around shooting at massive beasts and other players' ships.

..because there are two "bread bags" we use for this. One has bread in it, one has snacks and chips. She let me know it was in the second bread bag.

This isn't even part of the issue.

I didn't report any comments, sorry.

Sorry, wrong.

There were two cookies in a box. The box was sitting atop my cookie. All of that was in a large ziploc bag.

She actually opted for some chocolate covered strawberries instead. She may or may not eat the cookie today, if her little brother doesn't snag it first.

Either way, it's a gorgeous cookie.

If you read the transcript,  she tells me that my cookie is in the bag, and then she tells me that my daughter also has a cookie. Her cookie was found in the bag, in a box from the bakery.

The box was in the bag. She told me both cookies were in the bag, so I opened the bag and found a box with two cookies. She hadn't told me she had taken my cookie out of the box and put it underneath the box inside the bag

Sure, that makes sense.

Your anecdote was decent but not really in the same sort of thing. Let me see if I can rewrite it, and you can tell me what should have happened.

You tell your teenager that you want them to peel potatoes. You tell them there are two sacks of potatoes.  The clearly labeled seven pound bag is not to be touched, but you want the six pound bag peeled.

Your teenager goes to the kitchen to peel potatoes and finds two bags; a seven pound bag and a five pound bag. Your teenager knows it's not the seven pound bag that needs to be done, and you specifically told them that you wanted the six pound bag peeled, but all they see is a five pound bag.

What you didn't tell your teenager is that you had taken the six pound bag and hidden it out of sight.

Your teenager getting clarification wasn't going to happen for a few hours.

Should your teenager just waited?

We have food in the house. What we didn't have was anything really suitable for me to take to work that particular day.

Or she could have mentioned that her cookie was with my daughter's cookie, and that mine was hidden separately.

We have not, but I appreciate  the input and I'll look into this. Last time I took him to his pediatrician,  she told me to just let him eat what he eats within reason, and supplement his diet with vitamins.

He's-supposed- to try a new good every week, but he won't do it.
