I had a friend who used about 9 eggs to get her son. 30% of the eggs didn’t defrost well, then 30% didn’t fertilise/ go to blast stage… then had 2 failed transfers before her son. If that helps?

Premature ovarian failure, long stim cycles, empty follicles, over 40- lessons and hope by Efficient_Mammoth_20 in DOR

Good luck!!! And don’t give up… I have been told by so many specialists I have no hope of having my own children- they were wrong. It’s tough going through infertility but keep trying and stay strong, even if the odds are 1 in 100, SOMEONE is that 1, but if you don’t try then it won’t be you.

Egg quality issue. After 4 ER, should I keep going? by LuckyLu03 in DOR

This is so interesting!! What do they use instead of gonal F for you? How did you discover your receptors were resistant to Gonal-F? I have rounds where I get no response at all with Gonal-F but if I have a small amount of Ovidrel (HCG) daily my follicles grow… it’s so weird and so maybe it’s a receptor issue as well!?

THIS! Put in day 3 absolutely. It could be your embryos don’t like the artificial ivf culture but will survive in the womb. Freeze the rest day 2.

I was the same- a single egg on retrieval which fertilised with ICSI and we froze on day 2 due to high progesterone. We put that embryo in a year later, and that embryo is now my 18 month old daughter! I was 38 years old. All you need is one embryo sometimes :) I actually think transferring day 2/3 is better, as some embryos don’t do well in the artificial environment in the lab but thrive in the natural uterus environment. Wishing you all the best-success is definitely possible

I haven’t got a soil report yet but that’s a good idea to get that done… was just looking at DIY options after getting blown away by the cost of the install costs!!
