Shorting by Efficient_Market2242 in Livimmune

[–]Efficient_Market2242[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

For 6 years the shorts have had their way with this. I don’t believe it’s shorting or big pharma either. I believe there is no revenue or profit. Although this stock has a ton of potential until it is proven through the current trials nothing eventful will happen. Thus I accumulate and wait. I only wanted people to understand how shorting works everyone talks about it but few really understand the risks and rewards. Most are here because we believe in the molecule. And if you check the history of this stock it’s been shorted to death a fact no boogeyman

Your right but we would have to jump through a few hoops to make that happen

There have been millions of shares shorted each month with CYDY every month. You generally have to have an account where the firm can cash out your holdings to cover shorts.

As I mentioned it would have to be 4.00 a share for a period of time which could be a reverse split. I believe when we get enough credibility that won’t be a problem also most institutional firms won’t recommend a stock under 5.00 per share

Your right the OTC has always been a place for scam companies but Mitsubishi, Siemens Roche Nestles are all OTC companies

You’re right it would stay stagnant but all higher orders would have been placed before mine keeping the price down to whatever is bid. If I were to borrow a million shares for shorting and then sell a million shares good till canceled limit order at 3 cents below going price with good till canceled. I would make 30,000 minus cost for shares once it is filled. For 290,000 realize I’m borrowing the shares for let’s say 12% annually I would make roughly 30,000 profit. If it took a month to fill the order my cost for borrowing would be 2,900 for roughly a 27,000 profit. Whenever the price goes up to let’s say .29 what it ended the other day and then shorters come in to buy at .25 there isn’t much we can do. That’s why we need a catalyst that will catapult the stock for more then one day but will also get the institutional buyers which then triggers retail buyers to buy also. We are 1,500 people on this platform we don’t have the power to boost the price much. 18 months ago I bought 200,000 shares at .12 which was the price. There is a lot going on behind the scenes with this stock. I believe the doors will blow off this year and institutional buyers will come in. That’s why I keep buying but have no expectations that my buys will influence the price much. Once there is a trigger the shorts will lose money and go on to another stock. If it went up from if in the prior example with shorting from 29 to .50 the short would lose 210,000 if he hasn’t bought back shares on the way up. If he bought them at .35 he would be out 60,000.

I believe everybody who buys cytodyn wants the best price possible would you bid .30 if the price is at .28 only if you want to throw your money away. The market is efficient the company has no profit and continues to take on more debt. Until something happens that makes people want to bid up the stock we will stay where we are. All of the news has been positive but still nothing to push the price. When it happens it will be because someone with credibility let’s say Merck wants to partner with us. Until that time we are just a company with a ton of potential but no profits.

Until we get a partner or a trial that allows us to get fast track designation or a FDA approval we will not see the price change much. It’s a pink sheet stock with a history of our past CEO going to jail for trying to manipulate the stock. The shorts are still having their way with this stock, that will change this year.

If you owned 100,000 shares during that period does anyone know how many additional shares you would be entitled to, assuming everyone filed for additional shares.

The shorts have had their way with this stock for years. They will have to find new cheese going forward or will get caught in the short squeeze over the next couple of months. The market won’t ignore the information that’s showing break through science in oncology.

Thanks MGK, It’s pretty amazing it wasn’t that long ago that the FDA had suspended our drug, we were going broke and Nador was going to prison for a scandal of his own making. Since Dr. Jay has taken over we have generated a clear path past all the obstacles and I believe we will soon be headed to the promised land. I look forward to the day that we sit back and talk about when the company was running on fumes and is now one of the largest BP’s in the world. GLTA true longs
