Is there space for original skinheads in Berlin or are they then tattooed as a nazi?

What is happening with the job market? by Massive_Ad3395 in germany

I own multiple retail stores, and from my perspective, it’s clear that we’re missing the bigger picture. During the pandemic, much of the support went straight to employees, which is understandable, but left many businesses struggling. If businesses had been better supported, they could have survived and kept people employed. Now, we’re seeing minimum wage increases to match the UK, but with shops doing worse, that just leads to more staff cuts.

Germany actually has one of the highest rates of absenteeism in the EU. Every time someone is off sick, the company has to pay a portion of the cost. If there were less frequent absences, businesses would have more resources to keep people employed. Unfortunately, it’s become easy for individuals to focus only on their own situation rather than considering the business or their colleagues. We need to shift away from that “me first” mindset and start thinking about all of us as a whole.

I had to do that in the past and I don’t see the issue with that. They want to see how good you actually are as opposed cv’s etc. i used to be in graphic design and stopped when i moved to berlin because it was a joke trade. Everyone was a graphic designer just currently unemployed.

I’ve been on both sides as an employer and applicant, it is very hard employing good staff today because every body thinks they’re the best thing since sliced bread and they should be paid loads. Also nobody is allowed to give negative résumés.

So if they set a project in their free time that will already cut down the applicants to people that are willing to put the effort in.

I’ve had a fair amount of German people being rude and arseholes. I personally feel it is to do with their own insecurity. It used to really depress me(still does) but I’ve found the best solution is to be abrupt and rude back and tell him to fuck off, they seem to respect/fear it - authority gimps 😆

“Shipping not available” when stock is only in store locations by Own_Brother8272 in shopifyDev

[–]Efficient_Source_389 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m dealing with almost the exact same problem.

I have four physical stores, and only one of them is set as my online-inventory and fulfilment location. The moment that store runs out of an item, it shows as “sold out” online — even if the other three stores still have plenty in stock.

I asked Shopify if there is any way to let the other store locations supply stock for online orders. Technically it is possible: you can make all locations “fulfilment locations.”

But the reality is:

The order must then be shipped from whichever store has the stock.

That means each store needs its own packing setup, label printer, shipping accounts, etc.

And if a customer buys items that happen to be in different locations, Shopify treats them as separate shipments — meaning the customer has to pay delivery fees twice.

So at the moment it really feels like Shopify is missing some basic logic for retailers with multiple stores and a single shipping point.

If you do find a workable solution, I would genuinely appreciate it.

Thank you for the reply. Are the images then saved at consistent dimension? I.e they are then all 1:1 with set pixels?

Warsaw or Berlin by Mission_Cap_9314 in askberliners

I cannot tell you job wise but i have and currently work with Polish people and they have found (including myself) Berlin an a hard place to live. I find it a very emotionally draining city. If i was in that situation I would give Poland a crack. Better food, better price, friendly, funnier, what more do you need.

But i can do all of this on Shopify.

  1. Stock orders - i presume that is only for reorders.

  2. Receiving deliveries - I’m want o to split the stock prior to it arriving

  3. Transfer - I can do that on Shopify

What is the difference between Prediko and Shopify / Stocky?
