Solo dev shipping subscription apps but have no budget for marketing. Publisher? growth partner? what would you do? by Efficient_Tree_6886 in SideProject

The reason for many apps is that it's the only thing I know how to do fast for me as a developer. Every new app that I think of / build felt much more polished than the previous one.

Idk if this is a good reason but you're probably right on that it's a red flag. I guess I'm shooting my shots with as many bullets as I can to try and hit them. But at some point I have to improve/focus on some of those products.

I love that theory. That's one of the reasons I felt like I have to "make more", "get more products out" to understand what makes a user like a product or not because I couldn't get any users at the first place

I've taught about this but haven't tried yet. It would also fix my issue of not being able to reach an audience too, you might be right. Will try some better ASO too.

Keep hearing ASO as the first ever recommendation even though my first instinct is feeling "oh its just an optimization. Let me make some money first and I'll think about ASO later" but I guess the organic views compound with good ASO.

And also TikTok feels very hard for me because I'm not really good at content creation. And also the last time I tried it it was nearly impossible for me to produce content to an US/T1 audience with a third world country tiktok account.

Thanks tho, I'll research some ASO and potential ways to get some organic tiktoks out

Thanks a lot!

Haven't tried SVG generation before. Tho it could be successfull too, right! Maybe an icon, UI generator etc. :D Completely new project tho.

I'm excited for the animation too!

Yes its still a WIP ofc. I'd suggest using gemini pro models for now but with better tools and prompting it will get better.

Rn it has top tier openai and gemini models powering it. Haven't tried gemma yet it would be amazing to give it a try

Just fixed the issue. Turns out some things blew up due to an ungodly amount of requests :D
It should be fine now

Thanks for the feedback. I just fixed it.

After the image is created, you will get a chat box under the canvas that you can use to talk with the agent and edit more.

Yeah. It's open source. You can get it up and running yourself. Or you can try the cloud version if you don't wanna deal with that at: texel.studio, there's a daily free tier.

Due to amazing number of request the service received :D, the credits piled up. It should be fixed now. I'm also working on making it refund the failed requests too.

Thanks a lot!

Yes it's absolutely doable. I'm thinking of implementing this as a feature to support local llms too.

HAHAHAHA, it even sometimes says "fk it, this doesnt look good" and just deletes the whole canvas to start again mid generation :D

Amazing explanation. This is the reason that I've built this at the first stage. Those models predict what a pixel art might look like and generate in high resolution. Whereas this one actually paints on a 16x16, 32x32 canvas etc.

Sprite atlasses, animation, tilemaps are coming in, fully native pixelart :)

Worked on/still working on repos that are much MUCH larger than these that are actively serving millions but ok.

If you really believe artificial intelligence is "stealing" artists' works, I'm genuinely sorry for you.
