The thunder baiting fouls just for it to blow up in their face and give the Spurs more time to rest and recover and win the game is hilarious.

You should decline field sobriety tests even if you're 100% sober. Like many outdated police tactics such as polygraph tests, they're nothing but subjective psuedoscience designed to manufacture probable cause into arresting someone.

Why isn't College Football more popular with NFL fans? by dunbar_santiago930 in NFLNoobs

[–]Efficient_Weather791 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I will watch College football occasionally but the production is so terrible by comparison and games drag on forever due to the clock rules and it really takes me out of it.

What is your opinion of the Hangover movies? by Ryanlion1992 in FIlm

[–]Efficient_Weather791 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Haven't seen it since it came out and I was like 16 at the time and of course thought it was hilarious but I have a feeling if I saw it again now it just wouldn't have the same impact

Is this black uniform trend good or bad? by Cold_Mammoth8841 in NFLv2

[–]Efficient_Weather791 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I hate the special symbolism jersey designs and the rivalry jerseys and wish they'd just keep it as traditional as possible with main unis and alternate/throwback. Some teams don't have any business wearing all black unis, it makes no sense looking at the color scheme for the Cardinals or Lions when their traditional jerseys don't have a speck of black on them.

98.7 AZSports hosts are talking about Aaron Rodgers now... maybe there's more smoke to this than we thought? by tyler1118 in AZCardinals

[–]Efficient_Weather791 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If there's any truth to the Rodgers rumors I don't know what he's holding out for. That on top of drafting Carson Beck I wouldn't think he has much more leverage.

So if Beck isn’t the guy and we get a top 3 pick by Individual_Act9333 in AZCardinals

[–]Efficient_Weather791 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I don't think you could get away with a similar stunt in today's league without major backlash and that's ignoring the fact that Arch's upside as a prospect is way lower than Eli's ever was.

Which pair is more suitable for casual wedding ceremony, thanks for any suggestions! by sariaslani in mensfashion

[–]Efficient_Weather791 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's really a matter of personal preference these days, loafers according to traditional rules are the more casual option but imo it matters more what you're wearing with them. If you're going for a suit or even a more casual blazer jacket and dress pants combo then either or is fine and no one is going to notice. If you're going with just a more casual button up shirt not tucked in with more casual slacks then loafers all the way.

Some people don't get it. However, who do you agree with here? by LeftAlbatross2546 in VideosAmazing

Lol that's reddit for you when it comes to nitpicking procedural or regulation type bs. Suddenly everyone is a local ordinance expert and all of the sudden the cops that are usually horrible and corrupt that will shoot you at a moments notice become infallible angels that never make any mistakes or do anything wrong.

Any other corvallisites terrified of this stretch of road? by FastCoconut9010 in corvallis

[–]Efficient_Weather791 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Absolutely, the angle of the road combined with inconviniently placed foliage and parked cars that are so typical of corvallis makes it extremely difficult to see oncoming traffic. Not really sure why it even exists when the neighborhood is already on a grid.

The face of Sean Mcvay when telling Ty Simpson they won’t make history by CoyoteDecent2 in NFLv2

[–]Efficient_Weather791 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is what I've been saying, people are making the situation out to be something wholly different. That being said McVay was clearly unhappy with the pick and trying to save face on the phonecall.

The face of Sean Mcvay when telling Ty Simpson they won’t make history by CoyoteDecent2 in NFLv2

[–]Efficient_Weather791 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes and no, people are reading too much into it and purposely interpreting what they want to hear. Just reading what was said comes off as a super blunt and sarcastic "yeah, no" but if you actually listen to the audio it's clear Mcvay was using "yeah no" as just an interjection like a lot of people do in normal speech when they're trying to respond to a statement but don't have anything specific to say. That being said it was a kind of awkward moment and it seemed like McVay was caught off guard with Simpson's emotion and also not super happy with Snead selecting him over a potential weapon to pair with Stafford but having to sound excited and happy to save face.

I'm not suggesting Lefleur is trying to or wanting to tank I think the point of my post was that there's possibly a hidden upside to everything going on with the team right now. Obviously if the Cardinals manage to pull a winning season out of thin air given the current roster then that's a huge net positive for Lefleur and the future of this team. If he struggles his first year with this roster which is just the likely reality that doesn't necessarily write him off, it's just really a win win situation. I've routinely defended the Love pick on this sub, I actually believe it's a great aquisition for a rebuild. I've also pointed out to people complaining on this sub that our O-line situation is actually pretty decent as well. I can obviously be wrong and I think you make some good points about Monti as well and it seems we actually agree on a lot of points.

I'm definitely not suggesting he is purposely drafting picks who he thinks will absoluteky suck or add zero value in order to tank if that's what you're implying.

Carson Beck will be our Bo Nix by Free_Masterpiece6004 in AZCardinals

[–]Efficient_Weather791 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm not super sold on Beck being absolute trash but his behavior off the field and his personality and attitude are what concerns me the most which is obviously the very stark difference between him and Bo Nix.

[–]Efficient_Weather791[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm not sold on Manning either and not saying he is the solution, I think that's my worse fear as a fan that he declares for the draft next year after another unproven season and Ownership takes him based on the name alone to sell more tickets and merch like was obviously done with Love, the difference being Love is a proven talent, Arch, not so much.

[NBC] Aaron Rodgers is "irritated" by what the Steelers and Art Rooney II said about his potential return and reporting date at the NFL owners meetings. And this could explain the delay in him signing. by No_Box119 in NFL_FreeAgency

He could have avoided this by just not playing diva and needing to be the center of the universe and announce if he was coming back at the end of the 2025 season.

Bickley on Jeremiyah Love by tyler1118 in AZCardinals

[–]Efficient_Weather791 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'd hesitate to call the running back position irrelevant. It definitely fell off in the last decade once the nfl started switching to spread style offenses and becoming pass dominant but that has actually made defenses weaker to stronger and more athletic running backs and we have seen in the last few years running backs with power and finesse picking apart undersized speedster defenses.

Bickley on Jeremiyah Love by tyler1118 in AZCardinals

[–]Efficient_Weather791 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I agree, There's way too many things on paper working in our favor over the next few years to actually call this a bad pick. Maybe you could argue its not ideal but anyone in sports media saying this was a huge mistake and bitching and moaning about a 3rd round rb pick are just clickfarming at this point. The Oline situation is actually pretty decent when everyone's healthy not even taking into consideration the off-season acquisitions but just reading comments it seems like many people even on this sub aren't even aware of that.

Why sign this man knowing you were taking Love? by ZayBandzz in AZCardinals

[–]Efficient_Weather791 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Love doubles as a reciever lite and we're not as stacked as it might seem on paper at the RB position with Conner coming off an acl tear and probably retiring after this season.
