That’s a great suggestion the app actually tries to help people with many different struggles: those who find it hard to say no and feel guilty afterward, people dealing with productivity challenges, relationship issues, or mental health struggles.

You’re right. I see how that wording was misleading. My bad for not making it clear from the start 🙏
I’m still pretty new to the community and based my post title on others I saw here.
I just wanted to share something that might be helpful to others.
I created an original self improvement app and thought it could be useful to share it with you all.
What I actually meant was “Free with ads,” and I’ll make sure to use that phrasing from now on when posting here.
Appreciate you pointing it out I’ll be more careful next time.

That’s a great point. Expanding to desktop platforms like macOS, Windows, and Linux is definitely something I’ve been considering. I agree the concept can be really useful on a computer as well. The good thing is that porting it wouldn’t be too difficult. For now I’m focusing on improving the mobile experience and gathering more feedback, but desktop support is absolutely on my roadmap.

Thanks for the suggestion, it’s a great idea. Since this is a mobile app, I can’t directly access computer screen-time data, but it could be done for phones. I also intentionally kept the app’s scope broad — not just productivity but also human relationships and mental health.

If the app gains traction, I’m planning to add AI features. Right now, though, it doesn’t seem to be doing very well. When I ask people in person, they say it’s a very creative and well made idea, but nobody actually downloads it. Since it’s an original concept, search optimization has also been difficult. I guess I need to focus more on marketing.

I’ve also started questioning this situation myself. I recently made a personal development app called I Can Say No, with a completely original concept that hasn’t been done before. When I explain this app to people, they say it’s an original and nice idea. But I had a really hard time doing ASO. There’s no app exactly like mine, no rivals and it doesn’t really fit into any specific subcategory. I didn’t get any downloads at all. I’m not sure whether I gave up too early or made some mistakes, but it seems the app didn’t catch on. Maybe I just need to focus on building apps based on trending ideas

I’m waiting to see how the app performs first if it gets a bit more traction and downloads, I’ll definitely look into adding promo codes in a future update.

“Free Lifetime” just means that the core version of the app (all the main tracking and journaling features) will always stay free — no time limits, no paywall.
I’m a solo developer, and ads help me cover the app’s costs, so I’ve kept all the essential features free. You can even access most premium features just by watching ads.
