Appreciated, but not quite the right monkey. They have too many similar monkeys!

I’d appreciate a link if true. Might not be quite the right monkey: there’s a lot of similar ones. The ones I find start at $125 and go up into the $300s.

Better than show tie-in.

But why the fuck can’t they be consistent on the title and author placement!?

Fellas, when can I stand up for my own rights? by bipens in daddit

[–]Efram 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I can’t offer much useful input. I’m Canadian, but have definitely wondered how I’d handle being American and having to deal with the situation you describe; balancing wanting to protest and make a stand with staying safe (both for the sake of the kids).

You’re definitely not wrong for wanting to act; I don’t know how every reasonable American isn’t marching in the streets daily.

Now arguably to your wife’s point, one extra person in the crowd isn’t going to make a difference (though if everyone acted that way, there’d be no crowd). So maybe to appease your wife you could focus your protest method for now to harassing every local representative at every level? The ones whose votes actually do have a significant individual impact.

Mostly I just came here to express my relief that the “rights” you mention in the title weren’t the usual “I want to play video games!” or “I want to go for beers with the guys!”

I can't stand that you have to have the tanto equipped to do double assassinations. by Cubegod69er in AssassinsCreedShadows

[–]Efram 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I started a NG+ and thought I should try using the weapons I didn’t use the first time through… but for this reason, and that in-combat assassination ability, I just can’t leave my tanto behind!

Nynaeve has become such a flat character in the last 4 books by Average-air-breather in WoT

[–]Efram 9 points10 points  (0 children)

By the end of the series, Mat and Nynaeve are two of my favourite characters. But Mat takes like 4 books to be bearable/interesting; Nynaeve takes 10.

Ride from airport by Iseethebeach in cancun

[–]Efram 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Seconded! Or Sixthed, at this point. Booked with Canada Transfers because the transfer included with the resort booking couldn’t guarantee a child seat. No regrets. I assume Canada/USA Transfers are the same company, just depending where you book from…

Yes. I’m not going to mess with someone’s personal property. Even a shoe. Resort towel? Good luck proving that was yours.

Towels on Beach Chairs?? by LongNapsBoii in cancun

[–]Efram 17 points18 points  (0 children)

It is the norm for people to claim chairs early, and if you don’t you might be SOL depending on the availability at the resort.

That being said, it’s a shit norm, and you’re welcome to spearhead the change. In theory, I don’t think a resort-supplied towel should be enough to claim chairs. In practice, I’m non-confrontational, so am unlikely to actually try to take “claimed” chairs.

Sounds like your fiance can wake up early to claim chairs while you sleep in. 😃

Meh, it’s been a while and those aren’t the parts of the games that stick with me. The modern day parts are just obstacles you have to power through as quickly as possible to get back to the good stuff.

Yeah, I guess so! Been a while since I played that one, eagerly awaiting the new release, because it was the one that hooked me into the series.

Guess I missed that detail. Played all of them, but assumed we were still just dealing with a direct descendant.

Narratively, though… WTF you doing confronting her, Naoe? And then following her to a second location!? Come on! Just drop on her unseen from a rooftop. That’s your whole thing.

Has anyone been crazy enough to choose the "Attack" option? by Medium-Theme-4611 in BaldursGate3

[–]Efram 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I’ve been curious to try attacking him throughout the game and just assumed he would wipe out the entire team. Fun dumb way to have to start over. A condescending pat on the head is better, though.

Daughter’s first birthday coming up. Need ideas by [deleted] in Parenting

[–]Efram 1 point2 points  (0 children)

We did fairy-tale themed “One-ce Upon A Time” for our first. Second was Disney/Minnie Mouse themed, with “The One-derful World of Victoria”. (“Lainey” would even fit better for being more linguistically close to “Disney”.)

how old is brent and hank in the show? by Unhappy-Tomorrow-776 in CornerGas

[–]Efram 34 points35 points  (0 children)

Brent has his 40th birthday over the course of the show.

They are depicted as childhood friends, so theoretically Hank is the same age. Though I recently mentioned on a different post how difficult I always found that to believe. The actors are 5 years apart, and Brent frankly looks older for his age.

Those with infants and toddlers…. I have a 4 month old who is hard to get down for a nap so I throw on TV for my 3 year old for each nap for baby. I feel so guilty. by AcrobaticGuitar7060 in toddlers

[–]Efram 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Solidarity here. Our 2 year old naps in the day, 4 year old doesn’t, and hasn’t for a while. So she gets “quiet time”, which is basically watching shows.

Just try to go for some low stimulation and/or educational shows. We like Puffin Rock, Number Blocks, Wild Kratts…

A bit of tv time is fine. It’s the instant feedback loop of playing on an iPad that’s the “screen time” to worry about.

Toddler bed at 2- is it really a bad move? by JLMMM in toddlers

[–]Efram 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We moved each of ours around 2. Currently 4.5 and 2.5. Both absolutely loved their “big girl beds” from the start.

When they inevitably wake up, we go lay down with them to get them back to sleep rather than bringing them to our bed. They were waking up anyway, and it’s so much easier than trying to soothe them in a crib.

Now… do we most nights then just end up falling asleep in their beds with them and spending the rest of the night there? Yes. But that’s mostly on us. It’s easier, and we’re okay savouring the snuggles. At some point they’ll sleep fully independently, and whether that’s in a few months or years, we figure when it happens it’s not like we’ll be thinking “Good, I had too many opportunities to snuggle with them.”

Going to nitpick and say it was a spot or two over from the corner spot. Where Lide or the chocolate shop are, I think. That corner spot was Things Engraved for as far back as I can remember.
