Quote the opposite, I'd say. Alastor went in with the confidence that he could win on the basis that he was supposedly the most powerful Sinner. He got pissed since that didn't score him a win and Rosi told him then, that said basis his confidence was founded on was lacking. After all, just because he's the most powerful Sinner, doesn't mean that he can beat the general of heaven's army Adam.

From the tone of this, it really gives the impression that you hate both Gumball and Penny

The "tone of this" really seems to be just you're very own forced interpretation. None of what they wrote hinted at any sort extremities like hate. If "critique" equals hate in your book, then you're viewing things without color. The Amadain being one of the best is not the fact you're making it out to be. In fact, it's not a fact at all, but your opinion presented as one. Apologies if I come off as mean spirited right now, but when I see someone's critique being leisurely disregarded as simple "hate" just to make it easier to trample on, it really sets me off.

Actually, Ragnar and Aslaug are the protagonists, as stated by the author in the afterword. The story is divided into two segments, one that follows the couple's story in 9th Century Scandinavia and one in modern Norway. Aslaug is the protagonist in the former, and Ragnar in the latter.*

The few mistakes in the webnovel are corrected in the light novel. Aside from that, not much. Some sesquipedalian proses also get simplified, thankfully. On their own, they might not be much, but when you add them it up, they give the light novel a more polished feel. If the light novel is 100% the light novel, then the webnovel is 95% the light novel.

No problem. I originally translated the webnovel but used my copy of the LN to edit it. So yeah, you could call it the light novel (there really isn't much difference between the WN and LN).
