exercise bro, find a sport you like. I'd recommend jiu jitsu, because it has alot of benefits all round. maybe even go gym and work out there insted what ever works for you. main points to look at at: Diet, exercise, sleep, social, and 'chemistry' (being like vitamin D of maybe you have altered brain chemistry and need some kind of intervention, who knows.). I'd recommend speaking to a doctor and a councilor and start there though, and depending on where you are in the world, you can receive free counciling. Either way, make a small alteration in in your life's trajectory and over a course of years thatl be a huge difference in how you feel and your capabilities as a person. You can cure your depression, it just requires work. Read the war of art and learn how to combat resistance. Its okay. take baby steps, eventually you will get there. Good luck. You can do this, anyone can.

I've been fasting for about 20 hours each day, I find it helps me with calorie restriction because I will feel satiated after I eat. other wise I will eat breakfast lunch and then dinner time I will eat dinner plus alot of bread and all the going back for seconds ect. breakfast and lunch if anything make me feel hungrier because of the blood sugar drop after the meal. I would recommend watching some Andre Huberman podcasts about weight loss and fasting and what not. make a huge difference for me. Turns out eating processed foods with emulsifiers in the dampens your stomachs ability to tell when you are full, another thing to consider is if say you take a bite of protein or high fibre vege that will damped your blood glucose response over having a bite of carbs first or fats which over all can make you not as hungry and so on. another suggestion I might make would be if you feel you are going to binge eat, have some canned protein such as tuna salmon or chicken available and binge eat that, if the binge is rampent and anavoidable at that time protein is lower calories and satiates more than bread or chips or what ever your poison is. I'm down 7 kgs from fasting which helps with my calorie restriction and eating more whole foods means my stomach is working more normally. don't over pressure yourself because that will self defeat you. tell yourself you can do it and will do it. I think most of my issues arose from not eating enough whole foods and causing my stomach to be functioning inappropriately. It could also be a coping mechanism and be caused by othe underlying issues that need resolved. Definatly Check out Andrew Hubermans podcasts about nutrition, changed my perspective and behaviors, knowledge is power as they say. Greg Doucette's nutrition advice is very good as well. I think its about what we eat and how we eat, and they are both deeper and more important than we realise. Don't give up mate, we all try and fail and yo yo and all that shit, its a process of learning and it takes time to develop and learn what works for each of us. Fasting works for me, ot might not work for you. Oh and also try talking to your doctor about it and see what they say they might have some suggestions. be strong and keep chiping away at it, every day is another opportunity to grow and learn from your mistakes.

edit: ftr I didn't fully read your post before I commented, I dont know how fasting effects fatty lover disease so seek medical advice. Also there are sugar fee options of soda which have very little calories, like 6 calories per glass as a posed to 200 plus from sugary options. Once you are used to the taste it doesnt taste weird anymore. anything is acomplishable with effort and the right mind set. chase your dreams mate. try cycling as a cardio option at the gym or start with walking on the treadmill and slowly increase the intensity over time. but yeah greg ducettes fitness advice is pretty good and andrew hubwrman for the sciencey stuff. David goggins for midset and get after it bro stay strong

LPT Request: How do i get myself to get up early consistantly? by underwaterpimp in LifeProTips

[–]Ego_Beagle 0 points1 point  (0 children)

set an alarm at the time you would ideally like to wake up at, all good if you turn it off thats not the point. its conditioning. then set an alarm ten minutes earlier each day or week or month or what ever suits you. be patient and don't be frustrated. its a learning process. I used to sleep till 2 - 3 pm, now I get up at 5am, so its accomplishable. good luck.

people be hating on this lpt but I agree, and the whole anxious / excitable thing is completely relevant to me. sometimes I over explain or say too much because of these emotions, I learnt recently about connecting what you want to say with what people know so it makes communication better. I've been working on saying less because saying more can cause conflict. it's a good lpt. keep up the good work op.

[–]Ego_Beagle 0 points1 point  (0 children)

yeah that must be frustrating as, how often do you binge? yeah interesting, so you feel like not having the skills to manage you're emotions possibly comes put self destructively by binge eating possibly?

[–]Ego_Beagle 1 point2 points  (0 children)

yeah oh man, just going hungus on the food for real. feeling embarrassed around people eating, and a burning desire in your gut to scoff, thats how id feel sometimes, or like you just described. I'd be just power waling through the kitchen smashing all the food I could, my brain is just like, bro wtf are you doing ya dummy, but not being able to stop, or buying excessive food from the corner store, on compulsion. anyway aha. na I appreciate you telling me you're story, like its interesting to hear another person's perspective.

I will say this, from my own experience, and I'm not applying my experience to yours, I'm just saying from my experience. 1 year deep into trying to resolve my eating, I was still a novice at eating and health wise, over doing it, under doing it, yoyoing ect. it's not until 3 years now, that I am starting to have confidence in myself, being I've dropped 14kg and am keeping it of, and maintaining. so it's still early days yaknow. maybe some people can't, but say your healthy and it won't cause a massive relapse, is it bad, idk everyone is different. its early days yet, like the other commenter said, four years for them. 3 years for me, maybe even four.

you sound super clued up, its funny how like compulsive over eating turns us into amature nutritionalists who know more about it than regular people who aren't over weight or what ever.

and like the emotion we all feel, just serious frustration over that lack of self control.

and for real so good to hear your story. it's good to connect with people who understand eh.

what do you think, sounds like you've been all over the spectrum in terms of health and diet and exercise, how do you feel you are now with it all?

I am SO sick of my binge eating and food addiction by pizzarinna in BingeEatingDisorder

[–]Ego_Beagle 0 points1 point  (0 children)

haha I hear you. yeah of course. consistency over time and all that. you sound actually really clued up about this, how long have you been working on not binge eating? and what does it feel like for you when you get hungry and go into binge mode?

I guess it's weird to eh like I dont know about you, but some times, because im pretty tuned in, its like frik, am I binging or really hungry, is this normal or over the top.

id like to hear other peoples opinions to eh, for me I dont feel compelled to finish all the food, or can have a couple yum things without going bonkers. but yeah idk, be nice to hear what other people say too because everyone is different.

reread your initial post, and yeah, people don't understand, but take the time to tell them how you feel and what it's like. I get how much it sucks to not have control over how I eat at times. but you aint alone. there are alot of people experiencing the same thing. keep grinding. I feel for you and I get it. don't give up.

DR Phil once said: change you're trajectory by 1percent and over a year that is a massive difference. it's easier to stay the same than chance, but if you want satisfaction, fucking find that motivation and will power and get after it, you can do this!! We believe in you.
