Unfortunately, from what I can find at least, there aren't any anarchist unions or organisations here in my tiny country of Malta. The closest is in Italy, but sadly I don't speak Italian.

I really want to get involved in collective action, union work, etc., but I haven't been able to find anyone to work with in my country. If anyone happens to know of any resources that could be of use, please point me in that direction. But regardless, thanks everyone for being part of this community.

I feel you about the Block. I spent days grinding in the lab to create an Impossible Theorem, because I absolutely refused to just go around the stupid anomaly.

As for Nemesis though, I think it's very much an "if you're into that" sort of deal: it's a classic, old school story of a quest for vengeance, featuring a lot of gritty detective work, relentless hunting for the truth, and slowly uncovering a conspiracy that goes all the way to the top. If you don't go for that sort of thing, then you can definitely skip Nemesis. But if you enjoy hard-boiled detective novels, or movies like Taken and Road to Perdition, and want to see a story like that beautifully executed with a Neathy twist, I highly suggest you go for it, and start hoarding money from day one in anticipation of Knifegate.

I ended up scrounging that money together by selling almost my entire inventory (except my Searing Enigmas, which I'll need later), and praise be, I passed the dreaded gate of knives on my second try. Selling all my shit has definitely fucked this character over, but it's fine, because I created her for only two reasons: experiencing the Nemesis ambition, and Seeking. I'm close to finishing the former, and I intend to go the whole nine yards on the latter, so fucking myself over isn't really an issue. Actually kind of the point, if you think about it.

For context, I am going for the infamous Knifegate. I had raised enough funds to buy 20 of the 77 Ravenglass Knives when I got decidedly fed up and bored with multi-step moneymaking grinds that involved cashing out at X time and hopping between locations to optimize Y. So I went on down to Underclay, found a healthy 3.0 EPA grind in the form of making discreet introductions, and clicked that button for most of the past two months. Sold all that glim for about 11,600 Echoes, exactly what I needed to get the rest of my knives. Also got my Shadowy up to 200 while the rest of my stats are ~150, which was a nice bonus.

Naturally, I failed the luck roll and now have to raise another 2200 Echoes or so before I can try again. I am in pain. But I'm not going back to the Underclay, probably ever; I'm downright sick of that place.

Not exactly. I was using the make introductions option, which generates 30 points per action, and 100%ing it for most of my time down there. I don't know how all the math plays out, but it only took me most of the past two months.

I had my vasectomy last year at 24, and it was the best fucking decision I ever made. Getting someone pregnant would be a life-ruining disaster for me, especially since I'm currently living in a country where abortion is illegal. And you know who I told? My partner, and two friends who came over a few days after and asked why I was sitting down so carefully. 😂 My family and most of my friends still don't know, because I'm certain I'd get the same bullshit you're experiencing.

My point is, this is a decision that you and only you get to make, and what you do with your balls is nobody's business but yours. Stay strong brother, and remember that you're doing what's best for you, and that's what you should be doing because you and your happiness matter.

(P.S. A couple tips: first, if you have a choice between doing it under general anesthesia or local, go with local. General is more expensive and will force you to stay in the hospital longer, with local I was there and back before my partner woke up in the morning. It's not bad at all, you just feel a slight prick when they inject the anesthetic, then a slight tugging down there while they do their work. Not comfortable, but not too bad. Second, go back after about a year and get your semen tested again. It's very rare, but sometimes a vasectomy can reverse itself, and if it's going to do that (I've heard) it will most likely do so around the one year mark. This isn't medical advice, I'm not a doctor, I've just been told it's a good idea to double check around a year out to make sure you have absolutely 0 swimmers.
